This store is very quaint, family-ran, and the prices (on almost everything) are waaay lower than at a "big name" second hand store. It's pretty crowded in the store, you do spend a good portion of your time either in someone's way or with someone in your way lol, but the adorable lady that runs it is soooo nice. There's usually a few FREE items outside on the sidewalk (weather permitting) as well. Not a huge selection of clothes, the majority of the clothes they have are either for toddlers or older generations, they've got a fairly extensive Linens/Fabric/Sewing Misc. section, and LOTS of household-y stuff, mostly Kitchen related. We had shopped here previously under the former ownership and always had a good experience. On our last visit, my children were told the washroom at the back was the bathroom they could use. Today, I saw no sign indicating it was now off limits or employees only, so my 9-year-old daughter understandably thought she could still use it. When she opened the door, the young woman working came from the front of the store and aggressively yelled, "Excuse me! That bathroom is off limits!" My daughter was startled and embarrassed. I tried to explain that we genuinely didn't know because it had previously been available to customers, but she was dismissive and walked away. I went to the front to explain again why my daughter had made the mistake and was interrupted with, "Well, this is new ownership now!" in a very confrontational andrude tone. At that point, I said we would no longer be purchasing the items I had already set aside and would be leaving. Her response was, "Good, I don't care." When I said we wouldn't be back, she replied, "Good." To be clear, I had absolutely no issue with the washroom being off limits. There was another washroom available across the road. The issue was the completely unnecessary way my 9-year-old was spoken to over an innocent mistake. A simple, "Sorry, that washroom isn't available anymore," would have been the end of it. Instead, what should have been a completely insignificant misunderstanding turned into an unnecessarily hostile interaction. I certainly won't be back, and unfortunately I can no longer recommend this as a worthwhile stop to friends in the vintage and thrifting community.
