With our limited French and the waitresses limited English, we managed to place our order, and even though the portions looked a bit smaller than anticipated, we were happy with our choice. I got the boulet with salad and fries, and the boulet is like a meatloaf-tasting hamburger in ball form, drenched with a sweet, tomato-y sauce. It was quite tasty, and I really liked the accompanying fries that had just the right amount of crisp to fluff ratio. The salad with vinaigrette dressing was good too (but I could have had it without the onions!). Overall a pleasant experience, and a good find in Liege after walking around.

I had the dutch beef stew: dark, sweet and rich with large chunks of slow-cooked meat. My partner tried the mixed brochette: a large skewer of pork steak with a couple of meguez sausages. Both tasted very good, and were generous portions, particularly the kebab. Small, but interesting rang of beers and a nice red house wine: strongly recommended.

I got the classic vanilla waffle and coconut chocolate covered marshmallow to try, and the waffle was perfectly soft; warm, pillowy and slightly crunchy on the outside. The coconut marshmallow was alright, it was nothing amazing, just a chocolate covered marshmallow on a biscuit/cookie. The worker I spoke to, a blonde man, was so patient and happy to explain what each dessert was even though it was so busy! Definitely a must visit/try in Liège!
