I can't recommend Miss Megan enough. To say she changed our lives would not be an exaggeration…read more My wife originally reached out to Miss Megan when our daughter was about six months old. We had just transitioned her from a bassinet to a crib, and it completely disrupted everyone's sleep -- ours and our daughter's. We were exhausted, sleep-deprived, and desperate for help, but we were also very clear that we did not want to put our daughter through a cry-it-out approach. Miss Megan stepped in and, almost like magic, within just two nights our daughter was sleeping through the entire night. I remember thinking she was a miracle worker -- she truly changed our lives overnight. It was a complete game changer for our family. Beyond the results, Miss Megan was incredibly patient and calm. She took the time to walk us through her method step by step, making the process feel manageable and supportive rather than stressful. Later on, she also helped us with our younger son remotely, and once again she went the extra mile for as long as it took to ensure we felt confident and supported. I wholeheartedly recommend Miss Megan to any parent who is struggling with sleep and wants a compassionate, effective approach. She is worth every bit of it.

Before hiring, I was explicitly told this method would involve significantly less distress than conventional approaches, that bedtime would take 20 to 45 minutes, and that I could finally exhale. Instead, my daughter cried so intensely each night that she woke the following morning with red, puffy eyes. Each night ended with me nursing or my husband rocking her to sleep -- exactly what we were doing before we paid $4,500 for help. I raised my concerns after Night 1 and again after Night 2. Meg defended her approach and validated our feelings, but nothing changed. The method continued despite it clearly not working for our daughter. If you are considering this service because of the "no crying" and "co-regulating" promise, please read carefully: what that promise means in practice is that the adult in the room is responsive. It does not mean your baby will not cry -- and cry intensely. When I raised my concerns, the framing shifted. I was told that crying is biologically normal, that it is a baby's only way of communicating, that my daughter has a "big voice," and that we needed to let her cry to "close the loop." There were always new theories to explain what was happening. If I had understood that significant, prolonged crying was part of the process, I would never have hired this service. That is the exact opposite of what was sold to me. Additionally, Meg learned mid-stay that she was facing a personal hardship at home. I offered to let her leave to tend to it, but she said it was handled and wanted to stay. She spent most of Day 3 in her room on the phone and was largely unavailable to us and our daughter -- despite having committed to taking the lead on observing our daughter's cues, guiding her daily rhythm, and coaching us throughout each day of the visit. We ended the engagement after three nights. We requested a partial refund by email. More than two weeks later, I have not received a response. However, Meg did message me on WhatsApp with a presentation titled "Why Meg's Method is a Deeply Responsive Approach" with the note "Inspired by our time together." I would not recommend hiring Meg.

We worked with Lisa, and while she is nice, she is not a good communicator. My husband and I had a…read moresession scheduled for 1:1 prenatal birth classes, and 5 minutes before the session, she messaged and said she wasn't coming because a client was in labor. Ok, that is fine. I understand that. We rescheduled for the next night. 15 min past the hour, I messaged her and asked if she was coming since she still wasn't at our apartment. She messaged back 45 min later, "No, not tonight." What! not tonight?? What does that even mean? I have never had a professional message me something with such a laissez-faire attitude. That may not seem like a big deal by rescheduling one appointment last minute and then not showing up to another. However, I would not want that from my doula. What if I was in labor and couldn't get in touch with her, or she just dropped the ball because she was tired from previous labor and didn't attend? I think it's important to communicate and even overly communicate with prenatal and especially clients later in their pregnancy. I want to be clear that we didn't hire Lisa as a doula for labor, only for prenatal sessions. However, we strongly considered hiring her as our labor doula and are very disappointed with this outcome. Also, my feedback for the prenatal 1:1 sessions is that they are not customized for your birth. We wanted to focus on when the baby comes home, and we did two x2 hour-long sessions and never touched on that. Lisa also moves slowly through the material. There is wasted time rather than moving through the material in a structured manner. I found myself getting frustrated by the amount of time we spent on side conversations rather than the material at hand. At times it felt awkward. I wish our experience with TBC was different.

After a very difficult birth, she was exactly what we needed to gain our footing as new parents. She helped with breastfeeding, bonding, and took care of the baby so we could get a few extra hours of sleep. We will be forever grateful to Lisa!
