When I had issues nursing, Nicole was with me every step of the way. She helped me with techniques to get through it. Now my son is 3 and we came back to Nicole for potty training assistance. She was incredible helping us put together a plan. She was also on call via text the whole weekend. I was so nervous to potty train, but knowing I had Nicole's support was so comforting. Three days later, our kiddo was full potty trained!

She checked in frequently and answered all of my questions. Whenever I needed her, she was prompt to answer and always reminded me that she was there for me. When I went into labor, she was immediately by my side and did not leave until my baby was born and done with her newborn evaluation. I could not even imagine what birth without Kayla there would have been like! She massaged me the entire time, constantly encouraged me, and took care of any little details that came up so I could stay focused. I had an amazing, unmedicated birth and I could not have asked for a better experience! I would recommend Kayla to anyone! She will always be a part of my incredible birth experience and I am so grateful for her.

She and Jessi supported me before, during and after my (very fast) birth. I felt safe and secure with them by my side throughout my pregnancy, delivery and postpartum period. Jill even attended my sons bris and supported me during that difficult day. Jessi is the reason I continued to exclusively breastfeed my son for almost 5 months. I wanted to give up many times and she encouraged me to stick with it and guided me through the rollercoaster that is breastfeeding. The breastfeeding 101 class, better baby class, belly wrapping instruction and placenta services were great as well. Thank you from the bottom of my heart to Jill and Jessi, Shea, Anna and the whole WBC family for making my first pregnancy and birth a wonderful experience.

Prior to the birth, she met with me and my husband multiple times, and gave us excellent guidance, including how to manage contractions, and understanding what I could say "no" to in the hospital (like having an IV placed at the start of labor). I wanted to avoid and epidural and have fewer interventions during the birth, and thanks in large part to Emily I was able to have the labor that I wanted. Throughout my pregnancy and then postpartum, Emily was communicative and caring. She came to my home after the birth and showed me some additional strategies for breastfeeding, and has checked in on me multiple times just to see how I was doing. If you're looking for a doula who is really knowledgeable and passionate about birth work, don't hesitate to contact her!

We did the Hypnobirthing class with Emily, and my husband certainly thought I was crazy for signing us up for 15 hours of training, but we came out of each session with so much information and thought provoking conversations that could help us make well-informed decisions for our upcoming birth. Emily made herself available to us during the class, but also in the weeks following, to act as a support for any other questions that came up. We are so lucky to have found her!

Her counseling and presence before and during birth provided me with so much comfort and confidence and allowed me to enjoy the birthing process (as much as you can enjoy labor). Cristina provided us with emotional and educational support throughout pregnancy and birth. She did this by being available at any time to answer questions and by providing classes, one on one sessions, and constant communication during the process. We learned everything we needed to know about birth and about newborn infant care and we both felt prepared for what was in store. She helped me become prepared on a broad level, such as practicing comfort measure strategies for labor, and on a micro level, such as providing us lists of what to pack in our hospital bags. She arrived the day I went into labor, went to the hospital with us, and stayed with me until my baby was born providing emotional and physical support and was she also great company! Many people think, I have a fantastic doctor so what would a doula help for? I also had a fantastic doctor who I would recommend to any birthing person, but even the most attentive doctors and nurses are busy with multiple patients and responsibilities. Having Cristina with us the whole time dedicated solely to our experience was priceless. Her presence allowed me to have a minimal stress birthing experience and I 100% recommend her services.

Sometimes that was making sure I had coffee or that my partner got to go to the gym, and other times was about the theory and science of various parenting practices. She came to watch us at home and support what we truly needed and pushed us to try things to optimize our parenting behaviors. In addition, her local contacts put me on a solid breastfeeding plan when I was not producing milk and thought the situation was hopeless. We were with Colleen for two weeks and I truly believe that without this time and what we learned, it would have taken us months to get on solid footing. Colleen was a godsend and genuinely celebrated with us as we became better parents each day. I couldn't recommend her enough and do not think anyone should do this without her!

My husband and I took a Child Birth Education Class with Ashley this past weekend. I booked the…read moreclass through Fig Tree Childbirth and the only snafu (which wasn't Ashley's fault) was that no one told my husband and I that the class schedule had changed. So on a cold, windy and rainy Saturday we basically had to find a place to wait for 1.5 hours. Was really annoyed (especially because we spent $30 on a cab ride) but Sarah Moore from Fig Tree Childbirth gave us a $50 discount off the price, was super nice and apologized for the error. So about the actual class... there are a about 2-3 short break in between and 1 longer one to go grab a bite to eat. I would recommend bringing a pen and something to write on and some water or snacks to eat throughout class (water and goldfish crackers were provided in class). It's approximately a total of 7 hours that comprehensively covers everything from what to expect at labor, the different types of delivery (vaginal, c-section, etc.), drugs that may be administered, how to change a diaper, what to look out for in a newborn, massage techniques, etc. In our class, there were 4 couples total (8 people). Ashley was extremely knowledgeable and communicative and answered all questions in depth and with ease. It was pretty clear to me that she advocates a more natural delivery (no epidural, etc.), HOWEVER, she was very thorough in her explanations of everything and wasn't trying to talk anyone out of or make anyone feel bad about their decisions. She also emphasized the fact that things don't always go as you plan and to keep an open mind. I especially enjoyed her teachings on massage techniques (husband on wife during labor) and oxytocin. All in all, both my husband and I felt very educated leaving the class and more confident as we approach this life changing event in our lives. Loved the class! Thanks Ashley!

I paid $4,500 for five nights and six days of in-home sleep coaching for my nine-month-old…read moredaughter. What was promised and what was delivered were two very different things. Before hiring, I was explicitly told this method would involve significantly less distress than conventional approaches, that bedtime would take 20 to 45 minutes, and that I could finally exhale. Instead, my daughter cried so intensely each night that she woke the following morning with red, puffy eyes. Each night ended with me nursing or my husband rocking her to sleep -- exactly what we were doing before we paid $4,500 for help. I raised my concerns after Night 1 and again after Night 2. Meg defended her approach and validated our feelings, but nothing changed. The method continued despite it clearly not working for our daughter. If you are considering this service because of the "no crying" and "co-regulating" promise, please read carefully: what that promise means in practice is that the adult in the room is responsive. It does not mean your baby will not cry -- and cry intensely. When I raised my concerns, the framing shifted. I was told that crying is biologically normal, that it is a baby's only way of communicating, that my daughter has a "big voice," and that we needed to let her cry to "close the loop." There were always new theories to explain what was happening. If I had understood that significant, prolonged crying was part of the process, I would never have hired this service. That is the exact opposite of what was sold to me. Additionally, Meg learned mid-stay that she was facing a personal hardship at home. I offered to let her leave to tend to it, but she said it was handled and wanted to stay. She spent most of Day 3 in her room on the phone and was largely unavailable to us and our daughter -- despite having committed to taking the lead on observing our daughter's cues, guiding her daily rhythm, and coaching us throughout each day of the visit. We ended the engagement after three nights. We requested a partial refund by email. More than two weeks later, I have not received a response. However, Meg did message me on WhatsApp with a presentation titled "Why Meg's Method is a Deeply Responsive Approach" with the note "Inspired by our time together." I would not recommend hiring Meg.

I can't recommend Miss Megan enough. To say she changed our lives would not be an exaggeration…read more My wife originally reached out to Miss Megan when our daughter was about six months old. We had just transitioned her from a bassinet to a crib, and it completely disrupted everyone's sleep -- ours and our daughter's. We were exhausted, sleep-deprived, and desperate for help, but we were also very clear that we did not want to put our daughter through a cry-it-out approach. Miss Megan stepped in and, almost like magic, within just two nights our daughter was sleeping through the entire night. I remember thinking she was a miracle worker -- she truly changed our lives overnight. It was a complete game changer for our family. Beyond the results, Miss Megan was incredibly patient and calm. She took the time to walk us through her method step by step, making the process feel manageable and supportive rather than stressful. Later on, she also helped us with our younger son remotely, and once again she went the extra mile for as long as it took to ensure we felt confident and supported. I wholeheartedly recommend Miss Megan to any parent who is struggling with sleep and wants a compassionate, effective approach. She is worth every bit of it.

Since we took the class, we've been incorporating what we learned and have seen tremendous skill development already. Our son's sometimes whines are getting replaced with signed requests-- it's amazing to see the pleasure on his face when he realizes that his sign has communicated so much more than his emerging sounds have. We'd tried DVDs at home but had given up as they seemed hokey and didn't answer our questions. One class with Signing Up was a much better learning experience for all three of us.
