I paid $4,500 for five nights and six days of in-home sleep coaching for my nine-month-old daughter. What was promised and what was delivered were two very different things. Before hiring, I was explicitly told this method would involve significantly less distress than conventional approaches, that bedtime would take 20 to 45 minutes, and that I could finally exhale. Instead, my daughter cried so intensely each night that she woke the following morning with red, puffy eyes. Each night ended with me nursing or my husband rocking her to sleep -- exactly what we were doing before we paid $4,500 for help. I raised my concerns after Night 1 and again after Night 2. Meg defended her approach and validated our feelings, but nothing changed. The method continued despite it clearly not working for our daughter. If you are considering this service because of the "no crying" and "co-regulating" promise, please read carefully: what that promise means in practice is that the adult in the room is responsive. It does not mean your baby will not cry -- and cry intensely. When I raised my concerns, the framing shifted. I was told that crying is biologically normal, that it is a baby's only way of communicating, that my daughter has a "big voice," and that we needed to let her cry to "close the loop." There were always new theories to explain what was happening. If I had understood that significant, prolonged crying was part of the process, I would never have hired this service. That is the exact opposite of what was sold to me. Additionally, Meg learned mid-stay that she was facing a personal hardship at home. I offered to let her leave to tend to it, but she said it was handled and wanted to stay. She spent most of Day 3 in her room on the phone and was largely unavailable to us and our daughter -- despite having committed to taking the lead on observing our daughter's cues, guiding her daily rhythm, and coaching us throughout each day of the visit. We ended the engagement after three nights. We requested a partial refund by email. More than two weeks later, I have not received a response. However, Meg did message me on WhatsApp with a presentation titled "Why Meg's Method is a Deeply Responsive Approach" with the note "Inspired by our time together." Miss Meg changed our life in so many ways and we can't recommend her enough! We had an interesting experience in that we reached out to Miss Meg when our daughter was under a year old. She virtually coached us and we reached out every time we needed help. She helped and coached us every time. We weren't quite ready to dive fully into the technique until our daughter turned 2.5. During one of our check in calls with Miss Meg, she offered us a really exciting idea...she asked if we'd be open to come work with her in person while she was temporarily staying in Colorado. She usually lives on Hawaii but just so happened to be nearby, where working in person felt manageable given our busy schedules and upcoming delivery of baby #2. She offered for us to stay with her for 10 days. We loved the idea...but with our hectic schedule, we hesitated at first, but saw the value, so we finally made it there. Those 10 days were incredible with respect to how much we learned from her, not just about sleep but also ways to handle children, including tantrums and setting boundaries while never raising your voice. It was amazing to watch her handle so many kids on her own effortlessly (ours, plus hers, and others), and we incorporated many of her teaching methods into our parenting techniques in under two weeks time. Being able to listen to your child and being firm with them while also being patient, loving, and caring was a challenging task but something Miss Meg did with ease. As a deeply feeling mother, it was hard for me at various stages to initially understand the technique and respond appropriately. I reached out to Meg as a desperate, tired, momma! I searched high and low and found nothing but great reviews for the Infinite Connection and thought that the program was "too good to be true". I jumped into the program very quickly under a VIP package. We paid 1/2 up front. Note- in the VIP package the contract states "Infinite Connection is about 'a way of life' and not a 'one off' solution. Therefore, if you feel that after working together for the number of months stated at your tier level, that you have not begun reaching your sleep goals or are well on your way to doing so, I will give you a money back guarantee. You must adhere to the terms in your contact for that to be valid. For those on the Starter tier, this timeframe is 4 months; on the Standard tier, it's 3 months; and on the VIP tier, it's 2 months." I gave the program a shot for a couple weeks and shortly after starting, found that the method was not a great fit for our family. Nighttime was dreadful, taking 2+ hours to get baby to sleep with the program.. The method just wasn't working out for us. Long story short- we reached out to Meg to stop the program and get a partial refund (We still wanted to compensate Meg for time she did spend), but she denied the cancellation and said our two options are to keep going with the program or forfeit the $2,250 which totally contradicts what is stated in her contract and "guarantee". Please do not fall for the trap that my family fell for. First call was taken from her in a remote location with poor service. Should have been our first warning. However we ignored it. My wife started the program and Meg was somewhat responsive there was definitely a few times where there was a lack of response while our child was screaming. I think because she is constantly on the road so has a lot of service issues. Fast forward a month and my wife has severe anxiety about going to bed because my son (who never cries and smiles all day) screams for hours on end. We went 100 steps back and made absolutely no progress on getting him to sleep at night or nap. It got to a point where my wife could not handle the anxiety of trying to get my son to sleep so we shut down the program. In the contract that you will sign (hopefully you read this and don't make our mistake and sign it) states there is a money back guarantee. The writing is very clear if you are not happy within a certain time period you will receive a full refund. Considering the anxiety and absolute ineffectiveness of this program - we told Meg we wanted to execute the money back guarantee. It was a this time she somehow had a "team" which never existed before that she talked to about the contract. Long story short - she refused to issue a refund and offered instead to continue the program. I have a feeling all of these other reviews are fake and she preys on desperate parents looking for a solution to your infant sleeping. I wouldn't be surprised if after this review you magically see a bunch of 5 star reviews appear. Meg is amazing. We have a low sleep need toddler and before going through the program, he was waking up 2 - 3 times per night. We did a lot of research and I'm so glad we found Meg and her trust-based methodology and process made a lot of sense to us. During a span of few weeks, Meg offered lots of advice on how we can improve sleep routines / environments / day schedules, etc. Now our baby can sleep through the night, and occasionally when he wakes up early, he is content to stay in his sleep area rather than immediately cry to get us. I'm a results focused guy and we are saving 30 minutes putting the baby to bed (40 mins to 10 mins) while he wakes up also 1.5 hr later (6 am moved to 7:30am), so that's adding up to 2 hrs of precious sleep time per day. I've found Miss Megan when I was looking for a day care for my son, at that point he was waking every 2 hours and my family's routine was quite difficult. Through the Yelp reviews I found she offered a sleep training, the reviews were good - too good to be true..... It turns out the reviews are too good because THEY ARE TRUE - I've went through the sleep training and after the 2nd day my son was already sleeping 12 hours without waking up once. Now have been 3 weeks from the training and he is still sleeping 11-12 hours every day - this not only improved my and my wife's day to day but I can clearly see my son a more energetic and happier kid through the day, he now shows way more interest on playing and learning new things. My son was the typical bad sleeper, waking up every 2-3 hours at night and required co-sleeping for naps. I was a walking zombie and felt so incompetent as a first time mom. As the return to work date was approaching, I realized that sleep training was the only way to go. I read a LOT of sleep books but they were all contradicting to each other. I tried to sleep train him by myself but both my son and I ended up in tears. I wasn't sure if I was doing the right thing that I needed someone to be there to tell me everything is ok. I stumbled across Megan's page and even though hiring a sleep consultant was something we hadn't considered, we went for it because the reviews gave me hope she could help us, too. I'm now elated to be one of those reviewers, because it is the best investment we have ever made - we have our sanity back, and it feels like peace has descended on the house now that bedtime is no longer a daunting, frustrating task. Despite our daughter teething and having a cold today, as I type this she is napping soundly after choosing to fall asleep in less than 4 minutes. Four. Minutes. Our 14 month old had an array of sleep issues, starting from birth. Honestly, our only regret now is that we haven't done this earlier because that would have made our lives so much easier. We hired Miss Megan to sleep train our 3.5 months old baby. She did a fantastic job. I still can't believe the results. It seemed like my baby had all the unhealthy sleep habits. He was rocked to sleep, his naps were short, he slept in a swing in the living room during the day and I bed-shared with him at night. I had to walk for 2-3 hours a day so he could take one long nap in a baby carrier. I easily walked 10-14 miles a day. We found Miss Megan through an online search about sleep training as we were getting increasingly desperate with our 10 month old who's sleep had completely deteriorated from an unimpressive but somewhat manageable state to one of total sleep deprivation for all. We are only too thrilled to be on the other side, now writing the review, to say that working with Miss Megan was nothing short of life-changing for our family! From the time our daughter was born she was not a great sleeper. She had a sweet disposition but only ever took short naps during the day and would wake every 3 hours at night. Our lives as parents have completely changed after working with Meg. I found Meg after 7 months of being completely defeated and failed by other baby sleep information, doctors, sleep specialist, etc. Before meeting Meg, some of the information we had found on sleep made sense, but implementing it in a way that didn't seem psychologically damaging to our child was going to be impossible. By the end of the 5 nights of training (her Sleep Center is in her home btw), she now she sleeps through the night--to this day! After her initial center training which included 5 nights and a couple days of nap training, Miss Megan guided us how to transfer the same tools and training set up back to our home. It really makes sense to use her Center for training, since babies and kids have strong expectations for their own space and room, but a new space has no expectation and therefore its easier for a little one to build confidence of a new skill without having to re-wire any preconceived notions (she taught us this, but it makes perfect sense). The best part about her method is that she is readily available day or night for follow up support--forever! We called and txted her often on her personal cell phone (which she strongly encouraged) in the first couple weeks after our daughter's training and Miss Megan always got back to us promptly with guidance and coaching that continued to resonate and make sense with our parenting philosophy and where we were headed. Because she gave us tools, we were able to apply them to any sleep situation and with her guidance, we have been able to gently continue to guide our daughter to accept her new sleep reality with more and more willingness. I cannot recommend her enough to my friends and family..her ideology, practice and method with kids, sleep and beyond, is awe dropping. Miss Megan's methods are personalized, flexible and we can even still nurse and co sleep when we want too, but aren't stuck with that as our only option! Potty Training Review: After having success with sleep training, I hired Miss Megan for Potty Training my 20 month old and had incredible success in just 3 days!!! I had no intention of hiring anyone but when I first tried the training on my own, it was a disaster filled with tears and fear so this time I was not going to wait any longer to get help. It's been a month since the training and we have had no issues. She even initiated in the swimming pool! Megan used a gentle approach tailored to my daughter and set her up for success as opposed to what I was planning to do after reading "Oh crap its potty training" book. I read the book which has some great techniques but the approach was not working for us. Megan told me to buy a few items from amazon and we set up three potty stations around the house for easy access. I also requested Megan to bring her 4 year old daughter as I thought that would be fun and a great way for us to learn and it worked really well. Megan also made a special photo book catered to my daughter's training that we read every day. I am honestly shocked that this is even possible and saved me so much time plus it was actually fun!!! Our babes are doing so well with deeper and longer sleep. We started working with Meg when our twins were about 8 months old. We were co sleeping and I couldn't imagine how we were ever going to get these babies to choose to sleep on their own. Meg has been instrumental in moving us to independent sleeping in their own pack and plays next to each other, all the while teaching these babes skills to regulate themselves and choose to rest. I met miss Megan at a 'Conscious Parenting Sleep Seminar' and was instantly attracted to her energy, gentle approach and wisdom. (And, of course, her crunchy coolness factor.) My 3 year old son was in the NICU for 97 days and has been co-sleeping with me in bed since the day he came home from the hospital. We had two toddlers sleeping in their own beds throughout the night. And if the kids wake in the middle of the night, we sing their mantras and they go right back to sleep! The Miss Megan Effect is gentle, yet effective, and simple enough for anyone to do! My son was already 1 (and is the size of a 2 year old), but could only fall asleep if I nursed him or bounced him in the carrier (sometimes he'd sleep in the stroller or during car rides). It had gotten so bad sometimes I'd have to bounce him while nursing him and he was still waking up several times after going down, sometimes after only being asleep for half an hour. I also have a 5 year old daughter whom I had never successfully sleep trained and was still waking up in the middle of the night with night terrors and would need to sleep in our bed. On most nights, the four of us would co-sleep, which meant my husband and I didn't get much rest and had bad back aches. I had tried several sleep training methods with my daughter in the past and failed so I didn't really believe in sleep training, but I had to leave for a week for a job training and I was really just looking for a night nanny to help out while I was gone when I came across Miss Megan's reviews. I contacted Megan late at night and she immediately responded and was very confident and reassuring that she'd not only be able to attend to the baby's needs, but that he'd be sleep trained by the time I'd returned. Our situation could not be more challenging. It would be the first time my son would be without me and without breast milk (I've never been successful at pumping), he was fighting a cold, and we were transitioning him into his sister's room. But the Miss Megan Effect worked and with very little crying. I came home to a happy and well-rested family. I thought I'd have to wean my son completely, but I was able to go back to nursing him and still use Miss Megan's method to put him to sleep. The true test was when we had to visit family in Europe for the holidays a month later. The method worked on the plane and for the first few nights, but we were out late most nights so we reverted to old habits, including co-sleeping. However, when we got back, we were able to put both kids in their room and go back to putting our son down with Miss Megan's method. Our son has also recently been sick again and there was some regression, but the beauty of this method is that you don't have to stick to a schedule and even if you stop it you can still go back to it when you're ready again and it will work. Investing in you and your child's sleep is the best investment you could ever make, and Miss Megan has all of the knowledge and tools to get your house sleeping well in an amazingly short time! After our daughter's 6 month sleep regression we struggled with multiple problems- having to be held to fall asleep, getting so worked up she would vomit if we left her alone for even a short period, multiple wake ups throughout the night, that eventually led to us giving her a bottle early morning and bringing her in be with us so we could get a few hrs of sleep. We were all exhausted! Miss Megan initially started with phone consulting at 8 months as her night schedule was so booked and we immediately saw positive changes by implementing her suggestions. I highly recommend Miss Megan for sleep training your child. My 18-month-old was refusing to sleep in her crib after midnight and the only way to get her to sleep was to bring her to our bed. She was waking up 5 or more times in the middle of the night and needed our help to get back to sleep, sometimes for a whole hour. We were just exhausted day and night. After the sleep training with Miss Megan, my daughter was able to fall asleep quickly (5 minutes or less), stay in her crib all night, and the best part, she sleeps though the night with very little or no assistance from us. Miss Megan is AMAZING!!! My 2 year old daughter has been an incredible sleeper since 12 weeks. Then all of a sudden 3 months after her new little brother came home she became terrified to sleep unless I was in the room. And i mean TERRIFIED. One night she went to bed with no problems, the next night she screamed and cried hysterically and jumped out of her crib to get to me as I tried to leave the room. Having no experience with sleep issues we had absolutely no idea what to do! After days of staying in my daughter's room until she fell asleep, watching the video monitor like a crazy person to make sure she didn't leap out of her crib, and eventually sleeping on the floor in her room, I was distraught. I have been blown away by Miss Megan! She is magic. Our 14 month old (our 3rd kid), has been a terrible sleeper from the beginning. Some is nature and some stemmed from habits we created while trying to survive with three small children. We have basically ended up co sleeping with my boob in her mouth for a year as this was the only way she would "stay asleep". We always tried to start the night with her in the crib and this was always an hour long crying filled process and she would typically wake a few times before we went to bed at 10. I didn't want to sleep train because I couldn't bare to CIO and I didn't want to give up nursing as a tool at night if she was sick etc. Miss Megan's approach has no CIO and there was even less crying than when we were putting her to sleep with bouncing etc. Megan is a true baby whisperer. After just the first nap time with Megan, our child learned to love her sleeping space and stopped fighting sleep. Within two days of using Megan's methods, we were consistently putting the baby in the crib and she would be asleep within 5 min without ANY crying! We are are only a week into the process and our baby has been sick and with fever and has still slept almost all night with us only having to speak into the monitor to get her back to sleep if she wakes and she is sleeping in 6-10 hour stretches! It's a life changer. We have also traveled and been "off schedule" and put her to sleep in two different houses and yet, she still goes to sleep easily and stays asleep. I can't wait to see how amazing her sleep is when she is well and we are home! Megan has been right there with us the whole time, available on phone and text and even video calls if needed.
