Very far out of my way but only a 5 min easy walk from the Villa San Giovanni stop on the red metro M1 line. The place is really big and clean with a wonderful scent (shocking, maybe I was just lucky today!) They have a convenient shop inside with books and drinks and plenty of chairs for waiting. The best part is we had about 20 people ahead of us in line and the two women working moved so fast! I think we only waited 10-15 mins and had no issues finding our package. The women were so quick, professional and friendly!

I was…read morenervous walking up to the counter, but after asking "parlo inglese?" and receiving competent, kind help, I feel good about the process. I had no idea a post office visit in another country would be so easy. They operate a take a number system, with a multilingual kiosk to get your place in line. Then you will see your number appear in a window. Even though I was tenth in line when I arrived, I waited less than twenty minutes to be helped. I recommend this location for any post office needs you may have. They're right next door to a "tobacco shop" where you can buy an envelope if you're missing one, and they take both cash and card as payment.
