I was…read morenervous walking up to the counter, but after asking "parlo inglese?" and receiving competent, kind help, I feel good about the process. I had no idea a post office visit in another country would be so easy. They operate a take a number system, with a multilingual kiosk to get your place in line. Then you will see your number appear in a window. Even though I was tenth in line when I arrived, I waited less than twenty minutes to be helped. I recommend this location for any post office needs you may have. They're right next door to a "tobacco shop" where you can buy an envelope if you're missing one, and they take both cash and card as payment.

I…read moreshipped a parcel from Verona to US and it arrived with a fraction of what was supposed to be inside. That's right, they stole almost everything I had in my parcel. Mostly souvenirs I had gotten in Europe and clothing. Also ended up with a skirt that is not even mine so it seems they opened several parcels to peek at what they could have inside. I've sent parcels from other countries and never had an issue like this. And their customer service is (not surprisingly) abysmal when I contacted them about what happened. I was sent around in circles and in the end nothing was resolved. They just don't care. Please, PLEASE do yourself a favor and NEVER use Poste Italiane.
