There have been bumps, challenges and big changes along the way, and obviously we went thru COVID, but in the end the full St Martin's Community is rich with love, care, and passion focused on building kids with character that can go out into the world and make it better. There is every kind of sports and activity you can imagine (they are always working to come up with new options) & it's very inclusive...for kids of all skill levels that want to have fun. The school is rigorous but not cut throat. The kids are pushed but aren't stressed 24/7. At Smes your kids is in a community that lets them be a kid and stumble and grow. I grew up in public school (which I loved!) but having seen one of our kids go thru a K-8th independent school education (and one not) there is a noticeable difference in their confidence and readiness to jump into high school!

For a school that professes a caring, God centered community, the values do not match the actions, leaving much to be desired from this learning environment. There are teachers who demonstrate professionalism but the average middle school social drama is at a toxic level and you can tell that admin doesn't know how to keep up. Girls in middle school are even teasing a teacher who had their name changed due to a divorce.

I was disappointed in every center I visited; they weren't clean, or warm and friendly and often, appeared to be understaffed. When you can see that even the employees look miserable, there's something wrong. I walked into Grannie Annie's and my search was over. The center has such a warm, loving feeling. You can really tell the staff really cares for the children. They know the kids not just by name, but also their distinct personalities. Not only does my daughter like to go, the employees are enthusiastic and really do care. The activities they have for the kids are very involved (e.g., not just sitting them at a table with crayons.) I cannot imagine sending my daughter anywhere else. I know I made the right decision.

It is a center yet with a family-based feel. I never once questioned if my boys were safe or taken care of. I never once felt like the staff were untrustworthy or were in dire need of a break. I loved this place and highly recommend it. We only stopped going because we moved out of the area and the daily commute would've been an hour one way.

I love that it is a co-op preschool which means I get to volunteer in the classroom and be a part of her first school experience. It's been great to get to know the other parents and I really enjoy being part of the CNS community. If you are looking for a part time preschool, I highly recommend Crofton Nursery School!

Not just because of small class size, personal feel, or community vibe that I wanted for preschool. But it ended up being so much more! You get to meet alot of other parents and families and get to interact with teachers and the other kids. Being a working parent is great, you get to see what your kid is doing in school and how much they like it, but it's also a security to know there is always another parents eyes in the classroom. The 3 class is a great transition into school. Even if one kid needs hugs during class, that's your job. It's great to know the toddlers get the one on one that they need until they settle. Also is a good structure to enforce potty training, lots of potty breaks for those who need to be prompted. Already put a deposit down for next fall! Couldn't have hoped for more in a personal feel for a preschool.

He likes being dropped off and picked up right at his classroom door, reassured that I know where his classroom is. Tucked away in a family oriented neighborhood with the city's police right down the street, I have peace of mind and happiness sending our son to this school. The most important thing about this school is that it makes our son happy, which matters most.
