Other post offices stay open till 5pm and these are exactly the same as this tredegar post office. This post office does not even open on saturdays either. Thats redicolous. On top of this, most of the shelves in this post office are always empty. Looks as if the post office is closing down for good and all stock has been removed. The post office looks pre dated and very tired looking. Needs up dating or being moved to a more modern shop. One of the staff here also has a bad attitude towards males. Several times her attitude towards me as a customer has always been about me being a male. Bumped into this staff member in lidls. I said hello and i mentioned about the terrible rain outside as it was pouring down. Her attitude towards me was oh you men are always moaning about something. Horrible lady. I do not understand why this post office is closed on a saturday either. But then again even the hardware shop closes at stupid times opposite. 1pm closed. Whats the point of having a hardware store thats open a couple times a week and closed in the middle of the day for the remainder of the day. Does'nt make sense in this town. But the post office is a strange environment. Feels like walking back in time when you walk in. Well if you ever get to walk in as they always closed at stupid times and not at the times shown on their website. Beware if your a male and being served by the lady with specticles on. She is anti-male. And extremely rude. Yes Mary we mean you.

An excellent post office which I found by chance today; really quite large and, in addition to the…read morePO counter, services, stationery and packaging for parcels, it's also a very varied gift shop. There is a good range of china and glass ornaments, toys, umbrellas, jigsaws, artificial flowers and much more. Some of the decorative and delicate clocks on sale really caught my eye - they were very attractive. There were several Welsh souvenirs too including mugs and shopping bags bearing the Welsh flag. You can buy confectionery and cold drinks as well and play the national lottery. I found the staff friendly and very helpful too (more so than in post offices nearer to my home) and will definitely stop there again when I'm in the area.

They also have a very good selection of greetings cards , gifts and toys. Also there is a christmas catalogue where you order things , pay weekly and then near christmas once you have paid for your items you will recieve them . This is very good if you are short of money as it means you can budget for christmas over a few months instead of over a short period of time. The staff are always very friendly and love to have a chat with their customers and although the post office is small I have no problem taking the buggy inside.

Lovely for walks and close to the village and the railway station. There is a car park very near to the beach. In the village there are toilets, pubs, cafes and few shops. Great for walking but I don't know what the quality of the water is like for swimming. Not far from Kidwelly on one side and Carmarthen on the other.

Located in the Killay Square its one of the post offices that certainly does make you feel like you…read morehave received the personal touch. Sparsely decorated inside with little extras the staff are really friendly and helpful and always give you a service with a smile. As you would expect with a local post office the branch rarely gets busy and often you can walk up to the counter and get immediately served a huge plus point. Car Parking is available at the rear of the post office but I have had trouble finding a space to park. If you are in the area and need to post a letter or a parcel don't bother going to the city centre but give this local post office your custom it would be a shame to see it go.
