For example, a 65 inch TV powered up the evening of the move, suffered internal damage their claim the TV did not reflect any external damage to the screen or casing. Most often the newer tv's when dropped, would not show any outside damage,, even with its interior parts being broken. Their claim was the TV was already broken prior to the move, or why didn't I power up the TV once delivered. The movers were quick to leave and pressured me to sign the delivery receipt. They also claimed that the TV should've been boxed up rather than padded. All I heard were excuses, even with the other items that were damaged in the move. I was at the nail salon with both of our usual technicians and my husband next to me. He was Yes, and yes, they can help us do anything. They all heard this. The next morning, he was an entirely different person. He was aggressive over the phone when he called to say he was on his way, and said he never agreed to bring a flatbed trailer. He showed up in a TAHOE to move an entire household. I found him on Thumbtack and thought he had been screened. He was arrogant and rude, and made entirely incorrect statements. We rented a truck and an ENCLOSED U-Haul that we specifically stated would be used for OUR things that we would be taking back to Ohio, NOT for his use. One would think a mover has more than just one truck. We confirmed that it would be much easier to load our things we were taking in the covered trailer, to load the things from one storage to another on his flatbed. First, he claimed they don't use flatbed trailers, then he said they don't have one. He argued with me when I reminded him that part of the quote that was on Thumbtack was moving one household, then moving a small storage into a large storage, we rented to put everything in one place. He said, "I don't haul junk". Someone gave him access to the guest room floors, and he knocked on our door. Not knowing who he was, and him wearing baggy shorts, gold chains halfway down his chest, ballcap and sunglasses, accompanied by an extremely thin man who looked like he could not lift anything. Point is, I ended up paying.... $1,100. Not everything was moved. It took us a couple hours to finish packing - that is adding insult to injury. If you are genuinely looking for ways for them to improve, fire them and hire a whole new crew [at least the lead guy]. You can't correct people who don't care and have a poor work ethic. He came in and told me I should have pre-packed bedding ... how was I supposed to know that? I had the feeling that all communication was for their attempt to justify bad service and overcharging. Complete utter lack of professionalism and ability to handle the job effectively. Our move was characterized by disorganization, unnecessary delays, incomplete work, and poor handling of our belongings. Their behavior, including demanding immediate payment and refusing to take responsibility for their mistakes, was beyond unprofessional and disrespectful. The overall experience was highly stressful and fell far short of our expectations. This crew took EIGHT hours to move a 1300sq ft home with ZERO appliances, ZERO bathrooms (because we packed and moved those ourselves) ZERO closets (because they chose not to do those for whatever reasons), and ZERO outdoor items or furniture. It took a crew of TWO guys to move us with 3x times the number of items from a 2500sqft home! This was a crew of FOUR men who took FIVE hours to load 3/4 of the home. They left both closets full, they didn't have to move the bathrooms because we moved those ourselves, nor the refrigerator or freezer items. Will the owner, demanded pay at appx 4pm after almost 8 hours of work with still appx 20 large heavy boxes on the U-Haul, 3 large heavy TVs in my car, and both closets still full at the old house. I told my husband not to pay him until I arrived at the new home, but Will insisted and proceeded to berate me to my non-confrontational husband. He then called me back and asked me to please go ahead and pay him which I did. There is no excuse for the way this man handled our move nor my husband and me. He lied in front of the officer and said my dogs tried to attack him this morning when I had them on LEASHES and attempted to SHAKE HIS HAND upon arrival.
