Merry Pets - Exploring on group hikes with Merry Pets is fun for dogs of all sizes and ages!

I used Merrypets for group hikes for my dogs. My dachshund would come home appearing happy, and I…read moreassumed he was having a great time. Looking back, I think he was just happy to be home. I started noticing he would growl when I touched him, which was very out of character. At first, I didn't think much of it, but as it worsened, I examined him more closely and was shocked to discover scabbed areas under both of his front legs, resembling severe rugburn. After another hike, I checked him immediately upon return and found his front legs raw and bleeding in multiple spots, with his fur matted in tight knots. I took him to urgent care, and the veterinarian confirmed the wounds were fresh trauma. My dog is 8 years old and very active, but because he's never been off leash before, I had specifically requested that he be kept leashed on hikes. The other dogs were off-leash, and I worry that while trying to keep up with the group, the handler, Caitlin, may have dragged him when he couldn't keep pace. I reached out to Mary for an explanation but received no clear response or indication of concern for my dog's condition. I asked Mary if she would cover the vet bill. Instead, she said she wanted to speak directly with my vet. When I brought that request to my vet, they informed me that she did not have a right to access my pet's medical information due to HIPAA laws. Despite everything, I was kind enough to let the situation go--but I refused to pay the bill for the hike where my dog was injured. Now Mary is charging my account anyway. A good business owner would have shown concern and at the very least offered an apology. Instead, she has shown no empathy and no accountability. This experience was incredibly distressing. I cannot recommend Merrypets based on what happened and how poorly it was handled. My dog has had no more injuries since he stopped going out with Merry Pets. He's happy again and no longer growls at me.

I am so grateful that we found Lynne! If you feel like you need help with your dog, Lynne is the…read moreperson to call. She is truly an expert, and gave us a whole new way of thinking about how our dogs interact with the world. I have extensive dog experience myself, and she has ideas that you won't find on the internet, big-box training class, or any best-selling dog training books. Lynne is an excellent human communicator, which can be a rare thing to find in "dog people." She took her time at our consultation, spending more time with us than I expected and never "pushing a sale." Her value is exceptional: she is worth every penny and more! I have already referred my clients to her, and highly recommend Dr. Lynne Gilbert-Norton.

Our dog had become so aggressive towards her female housemate that we thought the last attack would have ended in our other dogs death. We tried all types of behavioral training and she seemed to get more aggressive. I contacted a trainer who told us that she did not think she could help but referred me to Lynne so I gave her a call. We scheduled an appt and after our first meeting I felt hope again. We saw changes with our dog within a week and with continued training and support from Lynne we have been able to reintroduce our dogs and have them be in the same room without issues. Lynne listened to my concerns and she worked with us so that we could be successful. She saved our dogs lives literally and I cannot say thank you enough. If you are having dog on dog aggression you need to contact Lynne. She is amazing and I am so thankful she was recommended to us.
