Nice hostel conveniently located within walking distance from the main train station, main attractions, restaurants, bars, supermarket. Overall a clean and inexpensive place to stay (I paid EUR€9.00 per night). There were lockers in each room. Bring your own quick-dry towel since it's not included (you can rent one though).
Free breakfast in the morning included white bread, cereal, milk, juice, jams, spread, and chocolate powder. There's free wifi and a few computer terminals you can use. The residents are nice and friendly. I was able to store my luggage after I checked out, come back, hang out a bit before heading to my overnight train to Lisbon.
Customer service from the staff was excellent. Upon check-in, I was given relevant hostel information (wifi password, free breakfast times, free sangria night, how to use the door locks), a map of Madrid and information (albeit en español). When I wanted to pay for another night's stay, the guy at the reception noted my tired appearance and kidded I was out night partying or with a boy last night. Sadly, none applied.
Enjoyed my stay here, met some cool people, wouldn't mind staying here if I'm in Madrid again! read more
