The beach is a popular peaceful tranquility often used for romantic walks during the awe inspiring sunsets. The tide makes the most wonderful rippling sound as it washes up over the sand an onto the large round pebbles which makes up the banks. What with sand dunes, great waves for the local sailing club and the (usually) still Findhorn bay - it really is a wonderful mix of active sports, family days out with the bucket and spade and romantic walks. Well worth a visit - it's never too busy - and to end the perfect day...some food and real ales in the Kimberley afterwards!

But there is one thing I have to complain about, there is no where to plug in your Xbox series x at the beach, and an other thing, there is no super fast B-road band Wi-Fi. Other than these minor problems that I will be complaining to the council about. My sad sister has no where to play Roblox when the tide comes in or she will be washed away. I love this beach because it has sand and salt water. I hate when the ocean has fresh water. I love this beach because it has a park close to it and it's really nice to have a picnic at. If anyone is visiting Scotland I recommend this local beauty, one more thing, there is lots of ice cream shops nearby!

It's a wonderful stretch of sand with nice dunes backing it up. There are trails leading along the beach and dunes and offer great views. Sometimes they are a bit narrow, so it might not fit everybody. The beach - depending on the tide - is pretty wide and has nice rock formations, very unique. We did walk along East Beach for a while and really enjoyed the walk and the views. Some benches are on the way too. We were surprised that this beach was so empty - even in summer. There were only one or two couples walking along. That's it. But good for us - so our doggy could run free and really enjoy the beach too (it is officially dog friendly). Depending on the weather the beach looks very different. Sunny - at dusk - cloudy. All different - but all amazing (check the pics). Be sure not to miss out on this beach when you are in the area.

Washer dryer not the best but kept all the swimming clothing clean and dry daily. Camp facilities very good and all contained within a smart purpose built building having a restaurant, function room, swimming pool and arcade. Access to beautiful beaches was a very short walk as was the local town of Nairn which has good quality shops and restaurants as well as a sainsbury on edge of the town. Fully recommend this park as a great base to explore this part of Scotland.

We booked a caravan via 'The Sun Readers Holidays' for 4 days at the beginning of July this year…read more It is just situated off the main road through Nairn. We arrived after 3pm and check in was very quick, we pre-paid for entertainment passes, which we didnt get the full benefit out of as we were always out doing touristy things!! So would probable not buy them in future unless we were staying on site most of the time. We also paid for a linen pack, but in future we will bring our own sleeping bags as think this is more economical and cleaner too. The duvets in the caravan weren't exactly immaculate. When we unpacked, we noticed that the caravan hadn't been mega cleaned, dirty glasses crumbs in drawers etc, so I cleaned it again. We both thought the caravan was ok and acceptable, however in comparison to another caravan holiday I was on later this year at a different site with a much nicer caravan at a cheaper price. This caravan was old and tired looking. There is a outdoor play area that my kids went to all the time and we took turns to supervise them, although there was plenty of young kids there who had to supervise themselves i.e no parent or guardian keeping an eye on them. We were able to walk into Nairn town centre in around 10 minutes, it is not large and some of the shops shut mid afternoon on a Saturday. We had already been to Inverness that day so werent too bothered. The big selling point for the site is that it is right next to one of the nicest beaches in the area. The kids had a ball on it especially in the rain.

This property is perfectly planned for recreational use. Next to the car park is a section to be used for picnics with wooden tables and benches and space for barbeques (bring your own). Past the picnic area is a path leading through sand dunes to the stunning beach,miles of sand and long views along to Burghead Within the woodland itself are clearly marked and graded walks and if you want to you could safely walk for miles and not get lost. Horses use many of the wider paths and it is heaven for dog walkers with waste bins for doggie doo (please do use them) During the summer season there is a parking charge of £1 per use but if like me you are a regular user a season ticket can be bought at Elgin Library costing £10. Oct to April there is no charge.
