Their sub almost change the whole kitchen layout from what was on the site plan. I had to call Ridgeco for them to know what was going on. We also had agreed to put in the grass in a mulched area (in the contract) but they never did. Ive called them numerous times and left voicemails, but there was no return call. Please don't work with these guys. They develop a good amount of homes in Bergen county...if you are going to work with them, dont buy their homes that have not been finished yet. Terrible service.

She was very active in showing the home for sure. However, once an offer came through she has been doing the absolute minimum at BEST! My mother was never presented with any paperwork of ANY kind outlining numbers of what she would be taking home from the sale of the home, a "sellers net sheet," as agents know it. When my mother asked about it Gerri said she didn't know what she was talking about. She gave her a rough estimate which was verbal and nothing was in writing. I have a friend who does real estate in Pennsylvania and her real estate agent in south Jersey (where the home she's buying is located) are shocked by this. They are also astounded by her lack of professionalism and her lack of respect and commitment. Her job is to lead her client through the sale of the house. I mean we could've listed it without an agent if we didn't want ANY guidance. FURTHERMORE and IMPORTANT:She also listed the house WELL BELOW the value of the home. I believe because she wanted to sell it ASAP. It appears greed is her true motivation here. For my mother, The additional 20 grand that she could have gotten , is a lot for her. For the listing agent it's only about $800 so she doesn't care. My mother was in no rush and is now scrambling to move because this woman wants her commission. The home did not pass the initial certificate of occupancy, so my mother needs more time to get the required things up to code. She told Gerri and her response was, "well the buyers are ready to move." What kind of person pushes a 70 year old woman, who's lived in her home for over 20 years to move from her home in less than a month??? The agent's job is to speak on behalf of her client, to represent her client. It's felt like all she's done is represent the buyer! We are in the final stages of the sale now and my mom feels like her hands are tied. The agent recently said she's not coming to the closing. It is not required however her excuse is she has plans! (She's known about this for over a month) just another example of her level of respect. I'm filing a formal complaint with the BBB and you can find my reviews on google and everywhere else I can review this agency and this greedy unscrupulous woman. She shouldn't have a license and the company who she works for should be held accountable. UPDATE: Just discovered the lawyer she recommended is up for inducement for money laundering! I finally met with Ariel on Friday the 7th of November. And let me go on to tell you what a…read moredisappointing experience that was. I find it amazing that all these Yelp reviews hold him and your company in such high regard, yet here I am with my own experience and it was nothing like any of these reviews. We originally were supposed to meet at 6pm to view 351 Central Avenue in Jersey City. Then, that got pushed back due to the fact that the current tenant wouldn't be home. That's fine. But I had left Ariel a voicemail message explaining that we could meet anywhere between 6:15-6:30pm to see a similar apartment in the same building. He calls me back, not having listening to his voicemail to hear that I told him the times I mentioned above. So we verbally agreed to meet within that 15 minute time frame. I text Ariel at 6:15 to let him know that my boyfriend and I were on our way to meet him. No reply. 6:30, I tell him we're there. No reply. 6:35, still nothing. We go into a nearby store, at 6:45. THAT'S when he called me. Explaining that he was showing another apt. Are you kidding me? That's not only rude, but extremely unprofessional. Not to mention, that I've now lost a few hours of pay because I left work early. When Ariel finally showed up, he didn't even apologize for being late! Finally, he shows us the apartment and there are ROACHES EVERYWHERE. Apparently, someone decided to bomb the apartment before we got there. I've never seen anything like that in my life. When I say everywhere, I mean that in every sense of the word. I've never seen anything like that - and for your company to show something like that, you should be ashamed of yourselves! I can now scratch your company off my list for trying to help me find a place. Two chances- and they've both been blown.

-Found both SHIN CHUNG & owners he represented to be evasive, shady & condescending. Our neighbors…read moretold us that the previous owner (an artist), constantly w/ plumbing issues & did the roofing/repairs himself. No wonder, so many problems. And, NO INSPECTION before buying the home? = SO STUPID! -1st meeting in his office: Have our cashiers checks (Deposit, 1st month's rent, agent fees) & ready to sign. He throws a nasty curveball and tells us in Korean, so our agent couldn't understand, to pay also the last two months rent in order to sign the lease, which was plain wrong. But, we had to move quick. So, reluctantly agreed, but we were POed, even to this day. They knew we had money & took advantage of us. Later at the end of initial lease, owner texted us...'WHY NO RENT PAYMENT? 'Excuse me? We paid. Here's the check #, date cashed.' Imagine if we forgot, didn't stop the bank transfer for those 2 months? = DECEPTIVE! -Next, moved in & sewage pipe in basement burst. Shit water in the basement. Had to clean all this, not once, but multiple times (due to busted main sewage pipe in front yard). Vomited, covered in shit, while cleaning. Paid $20K to move in & clean shit. Literally, moved into a SHIT HOUSE! Couldn't use water, no toilet for 3 days. Had to call & BEG the owners that we could not live under these conditions. Our son was 1 yr old at that time. Then, only then, did they put us in a hotel while waiting for repair to begin. (NOTE: No refund or partial refund of rent.) Later, the owner had the gall to tell us in a rude tone that they were "VERY GOOD TO US" by putting us in a hotel. UNBELIEVABLE! = HE HAS HUGE GONADS! -Next, lots of leaking in garage. (Garage roof replaced...THANK YOU FOR "BEING VERY GOOD TO US!"). -Next, major leaking in living room (where our son plays) for 4 MONTHS (Why? Ask their POS handyman.) until fixed (but only small area replaced). Still, 3/4 of main roof the same old, unsafe illegal roof. -1st roofing company came & told them this was an illegal roof. Owners told them to leave. So, we asked if INSPECTION was done. Was asbestos, a known carcinogen, tested in the attic? Home tested for lead? Owners & Shin were ALL EVASIVE! (Note: WE PAID for asbestos testing later.) = LIARS! -UPON MOVING IN, NO FIRE ALARMS (& WINDOW BLINDS)! Had to demand they install them. Why? Because... -HOME NEVER INSPECTED BY CITY (DONE EVERY YEAR) FOR SAFETY! Why? Because.... -NEVER REGISTERED AS A RENTAL (CONFIRMED WITH CITY MUNICIPAL OFFICE) FOR 4 YRS, AS REQUIRED BY LAW. -ALSO OLD HOME - NEVER TESTED FOR LEAD BY A CERTIFIED INSPECTOR, AS REQUIRED! (Note: Had our son tested for lead.) = ILLEGAL!!! -Our safety not even worth the $50 registration fee? OR, DIDN'T REGI$TER BECAU$E?...Oh, never mind....$O IR$responsible. = PATHETIC! -Later, out of concern, asked another roofing company to inspect: Exact words in the report: "After the inspection, we found out that there are 4 ADDITIONAL layers of shingles (which is VERY UNCOMMON and DANGEROUS for whoever lives under this roof, as the roof may COLLAPSE from the weight) on top of the roof. The top layer is CRACKED, DAMAGED and you can tell from the shape of the shingles that the roof itself is approximately 15 YEARS OLD OR MORE." -This home is UNSAFE. Trust us, we didn't sleep well at night knowing this. One of us was in arm's reach of our son ALL THE TIME, ready to bolt for the entrance, in case. Really, this was how we lived here. = UNFORGIVABLE! -Seriously, Shin & owners....How do you sleep at night? How do you go to Church on Sundays, praising JESUS, knowing that there is an honest family, who did NOTHING wrong to you, living in an unsafe, illegal home? Did we lie, cheat or steal from you? You put our son, THE LOVE OF OUR LIFE, in harms way. YOU ALL SHOULD BE ASHAMED! = DESPICABLE!!! -With pandemic finally winding down & ready to get the hell out of here, notified owners we're not renewing. This weasel called soon afterwards, in his usual condescending voice, how he's bringing clients next week (Really? Home is not even listed.), how we should "COOPERATE". Shin, I know English is not your forte (Do you even have one?), but "cooperate" also has negative connotations, like....'Hey, tenant! When I bring my clients, keep quiet, pretend everything is honky dory, just put on your Sergeant Schultz hat on for us. OK?' -You then asked if we could move out early to accommodate the next tenant WITHOUT any consideration for us. NONE. It's about you, the owner & $$$. -Then, told you that we bought a home; We're not the one breaking the lease early. Shin: "Closed?" Moi: "Took 1 month." ALL CASH! KA-CHING! KA-CHING! Nice commission for our wonderful agent (also RE/MAX). Shin:  SILENCE...I can literally hear crickets....HUNG UP ON THIS POS! = PRICELESS! NOTE: EVERY MONTH, RENT PAID IN FULL & ON TIME, DESPITE LIVING IN AN ILLEGAL, UNSAFE HOME. Thank you for "being very good to us" and giving back all our deposit.
