This place was a madhouse yesterday! We had a 4:30 PM appointment and didn't get seen until after 5 PM. It was packed with families in the waiting area and there was not much room to move around. In the end we were happy with the end result. They got one great shot of 4 children under the age of 2!!! I wasn't as impressed with the individual shots of the kids...but at that point one of my little ones was hungry and cranky! The employees were great with getting the kids to smile!!!!! Only 3 stars because of the long wait with HUGE crowds otherwise it would have been four stars!!! read more

LOVE this place. Cannot say enough times how wonderful our photographer, Kelly was. I made an appointment here last minute (hours before) when the professional photographer we had planned on using informed me her studio was under renovations. (WTF why schedule an appointment then?) Anyways, they got us in right away. My son was a TERROR. I mean full blown tantrums, I thought we were going to have to reschedule. Kelly was so understanding and did a great job getting my son to feel comfortable. The pictures turned out great. We did 2 outfits and a million different poses. It was hard to choose which ones to buy. GREAT JOB!!! read more

I have to give these gals a great review! We were on time for our session and we knew we had a few minutes to wait as I couldn't think of a more chaotic occupation trying to deal with so many different dynamics other than daycare, but I digress. Angie was polite and kept in contact with us to let us know how much longer we had to wait, after about 15 minutes we were taken back and we began our session with our one month old. She had so much patience with her and truly knew what she was doing and made our session perfect, all the while juggling other clients coming in with/without appointments and phone calls. We never felt neglected. Our photo packages were clearly explained and outlined for us, she even let us customize absolutely everything we purchased. While juggling everyone we needed to meet with Jessica and fine tune our selections, she was simply fantastic! Her and Angie make a great team! These ladies went the extra mile and stayed about an hour after closing to make sure we were happy. 12 hour days for both these ladies and if they didn't get a thank you all day here is one from us! Hardly a wait today. Horrible photographer. She couldn't remember the kids' names. She had a hard time explaining to the kids what she wanted them to do. She had difficulty with flash and camera. When it came to uploading the pictures, it took her three computers to be able to do it. She didn't explain the packages correctly. Three people finished their picture selections while we did our one. After all of that mess, the printer was not working so our pictures in a few minutes was false. We live 30 minutes away. It isn't so easy to just run up there. No guarantee when our pictures will be ready. No apology or warning given prior to taking pictures. Worst experience. So disappointing. read more

Our appointment time was 1020, we arrived a few minutes early. We were greeted, and I asked if they were running on time, I was told about 5 minutes behind, but that's the business when you deal with kids. I replied, yes, I brought my kids for photos. Well 20-30 after our time slot, we were finally taken in for pics. Unfortunately, we weren't able to have an uninterrupted shoot, the photographer keep leaving and others kept entering the studio. I finally asked who she was and she informed me she was the manager, and they were understaffed that day. So you are unstaffed and that becomes my problem...no it should be transparent to me. Our session was finally complete, and then to view them. Same situation...she had to keep excusing herself to contend with others. Finalized my package, paid, and only to be told, my photos would be delayed due to a malfunction, and they would call. They called, and told me my pics would be ready by Wednesday...3 days after my appointment. If I wanted to wait for my pictures, I could go to JC Penney and pay $8 a sheet and get quality just as good. However I paid $20 a sheet to have them in my hands on demand. So I feel extremely ripped off. I will consider other options next time. --as a follow up...I also called customer service to advise them of my less than pleasurable experience. As she typed my concerns into a computer, she explained to me that equipment issues are not the concern of the studio manager..and if the manager was taking my photos, then I should be prepared to be interrupted. I informed her, maybe the company should hire more employees, so that the manager can manage, and the photographers can focus on sessions, and the customers have a pleasant experience. I was offered a small credit for my troubles, and ensured that the information would be passed on. Consider other places for your photos. There are several high quality less costly options...I know I will! read more

I will NEVER go back to this establishment. The place is a joke. I had issues the first time, and got a refund of my money. (which is a voucher you have to send off to their "refund department" or use at that store only) I gave them a second chance, and BAM, ignorance again. Super unprofessional, the management is a joke. Horrible customer service. DO NOT GO THERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Dont even feel comfortable giving them a "1 star" rating. read more

My family has gone there for several years and didn't have a problem. Sadly, that's not the case this year. Customer service was awful. We had a coupon and was told that was fine. We were quoted a price for a sheet of pictures but upon check out the price jumped about $8. We were then told bc of a current sale we would only get 5%off our Christmas cards instead of the coupon amount of 30% off. We were not told that we couldn't use their sale and our coupon but we understood as a lot of businesses are like that. The representative helping us "handed us over" to another rep bc there was a printing issue she had to take care of making us feel less important. We changed what we were buying and checked out. The new rep was not a people person whatsoever. A couple hours later we returned to pick up our cards but didn't get a chance to look at them until later that night. When I opened them up to start addressing them I noticed each card had part of my daughters head cut off. I returned on the next business day to get it sorted out and while being the only customer in the building I was not greeted for about 8-10 minutes. The rep (second one we had the pic day) was on the phone with what seemed to be a disgruntled customer. I was completely ignored for all that time and just stood at the counter in front of her. Finally she asked what she could help me with and I told her about the picture. She took one and went to a computer not saying a word. She then asked how may I ordered and told her. A couple minutes later she said they were printing and she went to another room. Left alone in the building front area I just stood. She came a bit later and handed me the cards. Barely any words were said. Awful customer service and we will not return. So disappointed bc we've used them in the past with limited issues. read more

This place was extremely crowded because they did not have a lot of space (small building). They was great though working with my special needs one year old. They let us spread out time when she got overwhelmed and tried many different things to get just the right shots. They was open to suggestions from me and actually asked me how to work with my daughter in a different way to try and make her comfortable. I loved the pictures and was happy to get them the same day in about twenty minutes. I would definitely refer people to go there and have already done so. Thanks Portait Innovations. read more

Portrait Innovations in general is a horrible, horrible company. I can tell they don't care about their employees from the way they act. If employees liked their job and were treated with respect, they wouldn't sound so robotic and rehearsed or even cop attitudes with customers. I would never bring my kids back here again after how horribly my experience went. We went on a Saturday, which we knew would be busy, but then we ended up waiting half an hour for the camera room after our appointment time and then another fifteen minutes for the second room. Everything from the employees is so rehearsed that it breaks my heart that they're put though this. I'm sure they are only sticking around because it's a job in this economy. I knew I wanted three poses, the smallest amount to get the CD with a friend had told me, but yet they forced me to stop at these ridiculous $500 price points saying that I NEEDED these photos. Um, no. Who needs that many photos of their child? Nobody. The employee kept stopping after three or so photos to say it was the last collection for something or another. I could tell she didn't care how many photos I ended up with and that she was pretty much forced into telling me all of this and trying her hardest to get me to spend more. She apologized and quietly told me (so her manager couldn't overhear, I assume) that she had to stop so often or she would get yelled at. I felt bad for her so I let her do her thing without sounding annoyed (although I was, but I knew she didn't have any say in the matter). If I were you, I wouldn't support a business that doesn't genuinely care for their employees and care about retention. Next time, I'm going to a real photographer. read more

Not happy with our experience at Portrait Innovations. We walked in on time for our appointment. They quickly moved us to the photo studio. The photographer was nice. She tried to interact with the kids. She took a lot of photos. The majority of which only contained one of my three kids. Even though I requested no singles. So after ten to fifteen minutes of actual photography, I was presented with five possible photos of my three kids together. And 20ish examples of my kids alone. Photos I didn't even want. Any parent can get a wonderful photo of our child ALONE. I need you for the group shot. All I wanted was a beautiful photo of my three kids. And what I got was five okay choices. I understand you want to upsell me, but let's do our job first and give the customer what she asks for. After everything, I am just left with regret that I didn't just save the money and take an okay photo with my own camera. It would have been a lot cheaper and easier. read more
