This small lighthouse is now decommissioned and stands on a promontary next to what is now a pottery and rental accomodation (inside the old lighthouse buildings). It was built in 1893 from brick and quite compact. It protected this western point of Scotland and marks the entrance to the attractive harbour.
I was there a few days ago and walked to it from the town, which only took a few minutes. So far I have been unable to find out any more information about it but, when I do, I'll add it here! read more
