Portico is a pregnancy care center offering education, support, and pregnancy services for the community. They are a Christian organization and it clearly states on their website that they do not offer abortion services, so I'm not sure what the confusion was for others that left negative reviews. It is well-known in the community that they are a pro-life organization. They offer wonderful services for women and men in need such as maternity/infant supplies, men's support, parental education programs, mom and dad group, budgeting education, teen motherhood group, and a group for anyone who has been through having an abortion. They are a great resource for anyone feeling alone or unprepared in finding out they are pregnant. They offer free pregnancy tests, prenatal vitamins, abortion and adoption education, STD/STI testing, and more. I can't speak enough about the great things this organization does for the community and those in need. They are always accepting donations for diapers, gift cards, etc. They have an "Earn While you Learn" program which is great for expecting parents. read more

I have been supporting Portico for many years. They serve women of all ages in a variety of health issues. And they help supply products that young mothers may need for their babies. And yes they do not perform abortions, nor recommend them. They give you the facts and help guide you to better solutions. I called Portico to see what services they provide to people in need. They told me that they have pregnancy tests, ultrasounds, and counseling. I asked about abortion, and they told me "We don't do that here." It was very unprofessional and juvenile. When I inquired about a referral to somewhere that does do abortion services, she quickly (and unconvincingly) said, "...we just don't even know who does them." She did not offer me any help at all after that. There was no compassion. After that point, it was basically, "Okay, bye." Portico is a crisis pregnancy center in Murfreesboro which only supports the pro-life agenda. Not only do they not offer abortion services, but they are not a non-judgmental group. This clinic helps perpetuate faux-science and actively damages the wellbeing of pregnant people by intentionally misleading them. They use evasive and unethical tactics in order to take advantage of those in need of help the most. Portico barely tries to hide their religious agenda underneath a thin facade of charity/medical help. If you are looking for genuine care from an unbiased source, rethink going to Portico, and instead support a clinic who will respect your choice no matter what! read more

I went to Portico when it was called the Pregnancy Support Center. I was very young and scared and went for a pregnancy test where I found out that I was pregnant. They spoke the truth in love to me and gave me information that I needed to make the best decision for myself. I chose to carry and keep my son and I am so thankful. What I thought, at the time, was the worst thing that could happen and the end of my life and what was important to me, ended up being the BEST thing that has every happened.
