Our first port into Italy. Port of Messina, Sicily, Italy is a historic and modern port on the east coast of Sicily which is under the Italy shoe shape country. Looking up from the cruise ship port, we are at the base of Mount Etna which is a stratovolcano that is located between the cities of Messina and Catania. It is 15-minute walk to the city's historic center so it easy walking from the port.
This port serves as a major hub for commercial shipping cargo ships,, ferries, and cruise ships . The port features extensive facilities, including multiple cruise and cargo berths, container terminals, and a small shipbuilding yard.
