Sam and I discuseed the the haircut and I like his calm and exposed way of explaining and how he could work something out of my beard and bald head. Knowing that my Adonis period is long overdue, I admit I'm very satisfied with the result, so I went back and book new appointments. The result is nice to see, still women are not turning immediately their head, but I guess it has something to do with my age and not with the haircut. Sam is not only a professional, he is an artist, calm and with the eye of the master controlling constantly his work. Working constantly, he stil is able to show some empathy, talking about his homecountry, hair fashion in the Middle East, with the Druze, Greek, Cyprus, etc. No political statements, just historical chatting, no pressure and also good listening. That's how I ended up at Dapper Gents, at the beginning of its second week of beard trims following Covid-19 restrictions. Those who have seen my old "Suburbanite in STL" list may remember how important parking and approach are to me. If you have similar concerns, then you may like to know that street parking is not too difficult. In the canyon of Washington Avenue, my "ParkLouie" app was rather slow, so I fed my charge card into the parking meter, no problem. And, if you're looking for the correct entry to Dapper Gents among the multiple doors of 1000 Washington, you go toward the entry "east" and middle of the block, not the one near the cigar place "west" at the corner of 11th St. Michael A. did a great job! Friendly, attentive to direction, fade cut (and beard trim) in the top tier of all cuts ever. Covid-19 concerns? All staff and clients wore masks, mine removed only for the beard trim. I understand paying $50-$60 for a good quality haircut. When you charge that and end up with a haircut like I did today, you might as well go to Sports Clips or Super Cuts. I was charged for a skin fade, which was an upcharge and didn't get get a skin fade at all. Keep in mind im not picky about my hairy its more or less the principle and the money that you spend for a haircut up here.
