I order food from this location about once a week, and the last couple of times they've sent the wrong order. The first time it happened, I called multiple times and couldn't get ahold of anyone. The second time, I was able to speak to someone who took my name and number and asked when I'd like to pick up the corrected order. I explained that I live in Tigard and that the reason we have it delivered is because the store in Aloha is far for us. We agreed on a Saturday pickup. When I arrived, the manager on duty, Claudia, told me I needed a physical receipt in order for her to help me. I explained that I placed the order online and had the digital receipt on my phone. I even offered to show her my call history to confirm I had spoken with someone at the store. She refused to acknowledge that a mistake had been made or that someone had taken down my information. She said they had nothing in the office regarding it and was unwilling to help. It honestly felt like she just wanted me to leave. I paid about $40 total for a $30 order because of delivery fees. If I'm paying extra for delivery, I expect the order to be correct. And if it's not, I at least expect the opportunity for it to be corrected -- along with basic customer service, like an apology. None of that happened. I also felt there was a communication barrier during the interaction. It seemed like there was difficulty understanding each other, but regardless, the overall attitude was rude and dismissive. I've worked in fast food before, and while I understand that "the customer isn't always right," we never let someone leave feeling ignored or treated like they didn't matter. Even when we couldn't fully resolve something, we made an effort to show care and respect. Upper management really needs to look into this. If this is how regular customers are being treated, I'm sure they're losing valuable people who order every week or even every day. There needs to be a better communication system and a better way to document mistakes so situations like this don't fall through the cracks. For comparison, I actually prefer the Popeyes - Regatta Ln location instead. I've had issues there in the past too, but they were incredibly helpful and caring when resolving them. It's only about ten minutes from this location. Unfortunately, for some reason, the app doesn't always allow me to select that store when ordering online. If you have the option, I would absolutely recommend ordering ahead from that location. They're busy, but they do an amazing job taking care of orders, and their customer service is outstanding. Unfortunately, after this experience, I won't be coming back to this location. It's disappointing because I was a loyal, consistent customer. At this point, it's easier for me to just pick up food on my way home from work in Portland than to pay extra for delivery and risk incorrect orders with no support when there's an issue. read more

When I looked this location up on Yelp and saw the 1 1/2-star rating, I figured, "It's Popeyes -- it can't be that bad." Unfortunately, it was. When I received my order, the chicken tenders were clearly undercooked -- they weren't crispy and weren't even golden brown yet. They looked like they needed more time in the fryer. I also had to clean my own table before sitting down. Communication at the counter was difficult, and I ended up using Google Translate to place my order. I don't mind language differences, but as a first-time customer it didn't make for a smooth experience. Overall, the visit felt poorly managed. With better training and attention to quality control, this location could improve significantly. Right now, the experience reflected the rating. Which I for sure DID NOT drive 30min to this location and ask someone else to pick it up for me. I'm not someone who usually takes the time to leave reviews, but the service and food quality at this location have been consistently disappointing, and I feel like people should know what to expect. I am incredibly disappointed in this store, specifically the handling of a messed up Ubereats order by the manager, Claudia. I ordered the buy one, get one free 3 piece chicken strip order. I paid the full amount, around $26 with service fees before tip, and my food arrives. I'm given 2 small mashed potatoes, 2 drinks, and no chicken or biscuits. I reach out to Ubereats, they refund me $1.86 for whatever reason. I send a message to them, nothing is resolved. Now I'm out almost 30 bucks with literally no chicken or biscuits. I call the store 3 times, no answer. I go to the store and explain everything that I just wrote to Claudia. She has heard this before, 3 other times apparently. No apology, extremely rude attitude, refused to take any ownership, and refused to give me a refund. She said that's "Uber's fault and it's not my problem, take it up with them." I explained again the issue and asked that if she would be willing to make it right so my son and I can actually eat. She laughed and said "well, you didn't pay. It says on this receipt we charged you for the items individually, so you paid less than you are saying you did." Okay, let's say, for argument's sake that is true. I would NEVER have paid $5.59 for a small mashed potato, let alone two of them!! I briefly told her about how I was a manager at Popeyes for a few years and know we have the power to make things right with the customer. She said "you're not the manager here." I told her, "You're right, I never would have treated a customer like this." I then asked her how I can get ahold of the owner, which I wouldn't have been so inclined to do if she had been even halfway decent to me, but her attitude and absolute refusal to make things right or even offer an apology really upset me. She said that I could come in on Thursday to talk to the owner. I told her I was audio recording the whole encounter and showed her my phone. She slammed the window shut and refused to talk to me after that. At this point, not only should you avoid the place like the plague due to their horrible customer service, but the food they actually gave me would really cold and kind of congealed. I have grown tired of the competitors fried chicken, but was craving some for dinner last night. I hadn't ever been to a Popeyes before, so why not give it a try?! We arrived about 5:30pm, a Sunday night. The drive-thru had about 5 cars, and it was a looooong wait for those 5 to get through, and a long wait at the speaker to just get acknowledged. But, we finally got to place our order: a 3 piece dinner with Mac n cheese and an 8 piece nugget meal with fries. Once at the window we could tell the kiddos employed inside were clearly having a good time together. We received our order, all correct, just with indifference to us...not particularly friendly, but not rude either. So our first experience eating Popeyes...I'd say okay, nothing horrible but nothing great - with the exception of the blackberry pie. That pie was yummmm, let's get that established. As for the rest: the chicken was all just okay, I felt a bit shorted on the amount of fries, the Mac was decent/creamy, the biscuits had a nice flavor. Overall...pie aside...it was all just ok. Service somewhat lackluster. Not blown away with my first visit for some Popeyes. Not sure if I'd return, except maybe for the pie. ;) read more

This place is straight garbage. It's like they updated the outside so that people wouldn't realize that it's the trash heap it's always been. I understand that working with the public is difficult but it seems like they purposely pick the worst candidates possible. Let's start with the good news. There is a place for people who just couldn't hack working at McDonald's. Last week I went through the drive through to try this chicken sandwich. Bun was smooched and the chicken tender leaning toward soggy. Not really that impressive. That just primed me to get some good chicken on a Saturday night. 14-piece meal with half and half, 7 biscuits, mashed potatoes/gravy with cole slaw. I really like the flaky breading on the chicken and the pepper tones to the gravy. Biscuits are the same old dense pucks. By going in, I saw why the chicken sandwiches sucked, why the biscuits are always cold, and why the drive through is so slow. About 40-50 sandwiches were pre-made and sitting in two piles under the warmer. How does FIFO work with that process? And in the 25 unbelievable minutes it took me to order and get my food, only about 5 were sold. Gross. So let's run through this, shall we? -Enter the store, and no one is in the seating area. Temperature was about 65, and I was chilly wearing a coat. -I was third person in line. No one seemed to be tending the counter. No cohesive expediter function. After about 5 minutes, the woman and her child waiting at the register left. Now second in line! -They didn't have record of my online order, and only 5 orders were on the screen. So I reordered about 10-12 minutes after entering the store. -They couldn't provide a receipt as proof of purchase. Out of paper. -Out of fries too. -Couldn't really figure out where my order was in process. Several boxes were being filled with various order components, getting cold by sitting on the counter waiting on other parts. -25 minutes and I was finally on my way. This location is closest to me. It never fails that there is always a problem. They can't find my order. Or it's not ready despite being in a drive thru line for 20 minutes. Today I went in and the manager can't find my order. Then demands to see my name on my order in the app. Those receipts do not show your name. I mean why would it when I can click my account and have my name. But for Gilbert, who knows nothing about the Popeyes app, his words, that wasn't good enough. Then said it never came through. Demanded I cancel and reorder. I did. New order same. "It's not there" he says. Meanwhile his body is holding an attitude. Uses he hands to try and shoo me away because it's clear he doesn't want to help me. Since I had him watch me put in my order, I showed him "do you see my name on the receipt or anywhere to add my name?" He didn't. Finally he looks on the register and said see it's not there, does the thing with his hands to try and shoo me away again and said to look. What do I see? Both of my orders. Both under my name. Both the same exact amount. At this point he was begrudgingly putting my order together. All the other people were wearing gloves. Not Gilbert. I then decided to ask about a problem I have every time I order the app. The problem about the option to go through their drive through but it's never ready. Every single time I'm asked go inside. And it takes at least 5 minutes on a good day to be acknowledged once you go in. When they finally do they then start putting my order together. It can take around 30 minutes on average to get my order. And every time it's Gilbert telling me to come inside or Gilbert telling his employees yo tell me that. So today I asked why. He said he didn't know and I told him that he is the one doing this every time. He didn't like that and when I got my food the receipt did not have the survey. I asked him why the survey wasn't there? They have the survey receipts and we're actually using them to fill orders. He didn't want to give me a survey receipt. I asked if he was trying prevent marks against his record. He got mad and told me to leave. I was leaving and probably called him the more vulgar name for donkey and that's when he said he was going to call the police on me for calling him names. I asked him if he would like a picture of my plates too and waited 30 minutes for the police. Nobody came. Gilbert has a lot of nerve. He even went on to say "you got a $6 box, get out of here" insinuating that I should be expecting piss poor service because I purchased a sale item that they make posters for and advertise in their windows. Nothing changes even when I spend $60 on dinner. Didn't even apologize for not finding my name that was there the whole time. Gets mad when you mirror the attitude back. This location gets 1 star and that is for the employees who have to deal with Gilbert. Also you will see he reprinted my receipt. Because he didn't want me to do the fucking survey. read more

We picked up a 10 piece family bundle last night from Popeye's last night and the food could not have been any better. The fried chicken was moist, crisp and very fresh. It was made fresh as I had to wait for it to be cooked. The red beans and rice were a second favorite. So good. The mac and cheese, coleslaw and the biscuits were also a great compliment. What causes this review to not be 5 stars was the lack of engagement and lack of friendliness by the front staff. Very cold greeting and a very mechanical manner in which the order was taken. Then when the order was given to me, there was no thank you, or any other comment by the females at the front. Popeyes as a chain, I love the chicken! The hot sauce and spicy chicken are my favorites. I could eat my weight in mashed potatoes, green beans, red beans and rice, and biscuits! This location is by far not my favorite but it's not the worst. It's clean. No employee has ever been rude or even unkind. I get a little nervous over the whispering employees and a lot nervous when they say something to each other about the spicy chicken and laugh inappropriately hard. Terrible everything. Every single staff member there is clearly miserable and they make it known through their service. Never seen a fast food restaurant so stingy with their sauces. We paid a dollar for four sauces ended up only getting two then the employees want to act like giving us the two extra sauces we paid for is the biggest burden they could've experienced. Not to mention the popeyes worker wearing sunglasses proceeded to sit at the front and stare at us while eating as some sort of intimidation effort im assuming. Regardless made everyone feel uncomfortable and as a previous worker in the food industry I understand being miserable or not wanting to work but I never let those emotions affect the customers. The cashier did apologize for taking so long. I ordered for in, came out in to go bag. Thhe fries had been put in the bag shortly after I ordered, so they were barely warm.
