I stopped in during the seasonal flavor changeover, so they were running low on a few options. The server told me they were restocking the new flavors the next day. I was hoping to try the vanilla lavender, but I'll have to save that for another visit. Instead, I went with the butter pecan crunch, which the server said is their best-selling flavor. It had a rich, creamy texture, though I thought it could have used a little more flavor. The richness was just on the edge of being a bit too heavy, but it was still a good scoop of ice cream. As I was leaving, a large family was enjoying ice cream together, and it reinforced the feeling that this is a neighborhood spot locals genuinely support. I always enjoy finding local ice cream shops when I travel, and Wild Honey is worth a stop if you're in downtown Longview.

While most all of their flavors are awesome, Some of my favorites are mint, Blueberry pomegranate, pineapple and mango passion fruit. My name is Brooke and I was given the honor of being asked to be the "gender keeper" for a close…read morefriend. It was so important to me that the gender reveal cake be prefect that I went in person to Smallcakes, 5 days before I needed the cake, instead of just calling the order in. I took an inspo picture so there would be no "guess work" and the baker would have a constant imagine to refer to. After guarding this gender reveal, I was ecstatic to pick up the centerpiece of the entire reveal: THE CAKE! A photographer was hired to capture these precious seconds all eyes were going to be on the cake. The family had eagerly been waiting, and most importantly, the parents-to-be had spent weeks anticipating a glimpse of blue or pink. I was devastated when I saw the Smallcakes gender reveal cake; it was a fraction of the size! It was the size of my hand! I felt frustrated not because the representative was unable to offer a suitable solution so close to the reveal but because I was not heard or validated, had to pay $40 for a cake I couldn't use, and had to come up with another cake immediately so the entire gender reveal was not completely ruined! I work in customer service every single day; I work with the public and with brides. I may not always agree, but I ensure complete satisfaction and would gladly compensate a customer if warranted. In this case, I placed the order 5 days in advance, provided an inspo pic, and was assured that I didn't need a double layer because it would be as "big" as in the inspo pic. I still had to pay full price for a cake I couldn't use, had to go to multiple stores until I found a cake I could make work. I then had to scramble home, completely redo a cake, and make it into a presentable gender reveal cake prior to the parents-to-be arrival. This was a very stressful situation, nearly ruined by Smallcakes. A simple courtesy phone call is the only step needed if the baker was confused by the Smallcakes representative set when I was in the store. 1st pic is inspo pic baker had to refer to and assured that single layer would look "just like inspo pic." 2nd pic is actually cake that was quarter of size and size of my hand. The cake was the main event! 3rd pic is $130+ later going to different stores to find the right cake, icing, flowers, scraping of the top, piping and reicing and placing flowers. All could have been avoided if baker would have called. You can see from the plating the first 2 are on they are not the same size.

I was hoping to find a place where I could safely enjoy a date night and eat out for the first time…read morein nearly 14 years. While I appreciate having a local health food store in Longview, I was disappointed to find that the kitchen and premade food section doesn't fully align with a clean-eating standard. Because many meals are pre-assembled, it isn't possible to remove common allergens like corn or cheese. Looking closely at the ingredients, items include mayonnaise with high fructose corn syrup, sweet potato fries cooked in soybean oil, and Hormel meats with added hormones. Longview has a strong demand for truly non-inflammatory and allergen-friendly options. Simple kitchen updates would transform this into a go-to spot for people with strict dietary needs: Offering customizable, build-your-own options (so ingredients like corn or dairy can be left off) Swapping to clean base ingredients, like avocado oil for cooking and corn-syrup-free mayo (like Primal Kitchen) Introducing organic ingredients, hormone-free meats, and grain-free menu items There are so many people in our community with sensitivities who would love to be loyal, regular customers if safer, cleaner options were available!

First the guy had to check if it was alright. To substitute things. Which, um, why doesn't he already know? Then, he overcharged me, and when I said something, Valerie came to 'help', overcharging me even more, such that what should've been a $6.99 drink was NOW going to be $11, despite my not including 4-5 of the ingredients in it! If you are at all concerned with the integrity of ingredients, want to know exactly what you're drinking, or would prefer a place that works with you so you can actually have something that won't send you on a flare, DO NOT come here. If you're traveling through and need something healthy, for the love of god, pass by this place and go to either The Granary or to Natural Grocers, both just a few minutes down the road. The store side was unfortunately unimpressive as well - they just didn't have the selection or stock of say, The Granary or Natural Grocers, and it was really expensive. Also the staff over there reeked of bad perfume, and didn't know where stuff was. This may be a healthy place for lunch if you've just started trying to be healthy and are comparing it to say, fried chicken and fries. But bread, wheat, dairy frozen yogurt, orange juice, pineapple juice - these are not healthy things.
