A few weeks ago, I took in four filters to be cleaned - not a big problem but I just don't have time. Yesterday I picked them up "cleaned" and told them to charge what I assumed would be a standard charge to my account. BIG MISTAKE - look at the photo to see how Custom Pool cleaned these four pool filters. They are filthy, have rocks and sticks embedded in them, and for this Custom Pool dinged my credit card $210. What? The cost of these same four filters NEW is $129.99. Time to go somewhere else.

The project was done extremely well, on time and on budget. The subcontractors he brought in were also excellent. When we knew we couldn't wait any longer to redo our very old (30+ years) pool (it came with the house), we talked to several pool companies. We went with Lance/Pisces because he knows what he's doing and was fairly priced. He totally delivered. I couldn't recommend Pisces Pools more highly. The end result was A+ and the project was expertly managed from start to finish.

A Pool Day delivered an exceptional experience from start to finish. From the very first meeting,…read moreit was clear they genuinely care about their work and are passionate about providing top‑tier service in a competitive market. Their guidance helped us choose a fiberglass pool, and after doing extensive research on the manufacturer in Quebec, Canada, we felt confident in the quality of the shell they use--especially compared to many other installers who source from southern U.S. manufacturers. It also carries a lifetime warranty and can pass this along to the next homeowner if we ever decide to move. Communication throughout the entire process was outstanding. They always took the time to sit down with us, answer every question, and clarify anything we were unsure about. The install crew was meticulous, professional, and clearly took pride in their work. They stuck to their schedule, and whenever something changed, they proactively updated us so we could adjust our plans. The electrical crew was equally impressive--so much so that we plan to use them for future projects. The landscaping and irrigation teams also did a great job, following up after the fence and sod were completed to make sure everything was dialed in perfectly. It meant a lot to have Chad and Zack stop by several times during the project to ensure everything was meeting our expectations and to take care of any remaining checklist items. Their involvement showed a level of commitment you don't often see. If I had one suggestion for improvement, it would be to provide manuals and pool information up front and offer a starter kit with chemicals and cleaning essentials--maybe even include it as part of a "package price." Despite Minnesota's unpredictable weather, our pool was installed in just under four weeks, and my family has been enjoying being able to cool off with the hot weather we've had as of late! We are looking forward to hosting many parties with friends and family moving forward. I highly recommend A Pool Day to anyone considering a pool installation. Their professionalism, craftsmanship, and customer care set them apart, and we're thrilled with the final result.

I can't recommend Sparrow Plumbing and Valentino highly enough. They've been a lifesaver and saved…read moreme hundreds of dollars. The first job Valentino handled for me was repairing a leaking shower temperature regulator after another plumbing company had already made three separate visits and still failed to fix the issue. Valentino quickly diagnosed the problem, repaired it correctly on the first visit, and went the extra mile to ensure everything was adjusted and working perfectly before he left. Since then, Sparrow Plumbing has been my first call for any plumbing need. They've handled everything from installing plumbing for a new washer and dryer to repairing my home's main water line. Recently, I discovered my home had excessively high water pressure. Sparrow Plumbing came out quickly, installed a new pressure-reducing valve (PRV), adjusted the pressure to a safe 70 PSI, and even replaced my main water shutoff ball valve at no additional charge. It's that kind of service that keeps me coming back. Every experience has been the same: honest advice, fair pricing, prompt service, and exceptional workmanship. It's rare to find a contractor who consistently delivers this level of quality and professionalism. The only thing I wish is that Sparrow Plumbing offered more home services, because I would gladly hire them for those too. Their plumbing work is absolutely top-notch, and I recommend them without hesitation.

I had meant to take care of this sooner but time got away from me…read more We had our water heater go on the fritz the day before we were scheduled to leave town for a week and we were over a barrel. Our normal plumber wasn't available and we couldn't find anyone that could come to take care of that before we left town until we contacted Sparrow. Came out that day and given the age of the heater we knew a new was gonna happen. And yeah, I'm the type thats suspicious of a craftsman that has immediate availability. Its usually for a reason. He came in and hauled the old one out and installed the new one and we haven't had any issues with it in the four months since the install. I had already researched what the price "should" be and he was in line with that. A bit of a talker, but cool, professional and did a quality job. Very happy with the result. Would use again.

I seriously wonder if the negative reviewers are talking about the same service. Eric was prompt,…read morepleasant, SUPER respectful and responsible about COVID compliance (wore a mask, stayed 6 ft apart, washed hands etc), explained all the issues well, and in the course of our discussion about my home's many plumbing problems (observable with my own eyes), he recommended a few things regarding a kitchen renovation I was planning that saved me $$$. He also showed me how to do some basic maintenance so I wouldn't have to call him for a minor recurring issue. I was so pleased with his work on a bunch of annoying small repair jobs, that I have brought him back for multiple larger plumbing jobs. My house had BAD plumbing when I bought it -- like multiple elements only held together with tape. Shortly after I moved in, I discovered one toilet mechanism was held together with duct tape. Later, when I got a new dishwasher, I discovered my dishwasher drain hose was held to the main drain stack with electrical tape and it had been causing a slow leak under my floating floor (if I hadn't upgraded my dishwasher it could have been years before I discovered this since it was hidden). I actually ended up paying for a second home inspection after finding this many instances of tape used for plumbing after I moved in, because they were not noted in my original home inspection (I'm going to do a brief side plug for StructureTech the best home inspectors who found all kinds of things I wish I'd known when I bought, I will never use another home inspector again in this state). It's pretty depressing to buy a new house and discover someone did a shockingly shoddy job with the plumbing. I fully trust Eric to steer me in the right direction and to talk me through my options - pros/cons/cost. At this point, over the year, he's fixed multiple issues such as small leaks and running toilets (I can repair a basic running toilet but these were more complicated), installed a new water heater, installed a new sink faucet and garbage disposal, hooked up my new refrigerator's water line. My sewer line backed up and when he was unable to come to the emergency, he recommended another company who could do the job for a reasonable price quickly. I have never felt 'upsold' or like he was unwilling to do a smaller job either (which I can't say about other repairs on my house). Because so much work had to be done on this house, I got estimates on a few things from other plumbers, and I felt Eric was usually cheaper or on par with the other services while being more pleasant/respectful and providing better service. I had one service be pretty rude to me as woman, quote me an outrageous sum, and indicate they would nickel and dime every little thing. No thanks! I also want to say having someone who takes COVID prevention seriously is a big stress reliever. Eric always worse a K95 high filtration mask, didn't touch his mask, didn't take it off, didn't have to be nagged about things, unlike some people I've had show up at my house without even bringing a mask. Highly recommend.
