Recently moved to area and my girls (5lb very very contrary pomeranian and a 20lb shih tzu) were in dire need of some girl time. I loved the name of the business and looked around for information but was unable to find any so I called. Spoke with a wonderful young lady name Tawny and she was able to put girls in asap which I greatly appreciated. I dropped both girls off and in less than 3 hours she had them taken care of. Several animals in same room and they were all well behaved. One thing that really started conversation off well was she has oatmeal shampoo which always cost me extra but wasn't this time. I forgot to bring the little terror's shampoo with her. There is a kitty and dog who are absolutely love babies! The price was almost half the cost of what I paid in Houston, TX when I was able to get my little terror booked and the quality was the best hand down. I love this place and look forward to coming for many years! I personally despise Yelp! and have seen what a sham it can be. Unfortunately I was unable to offer this business a review anywhere else because she is new. She is fabulous and the only money exchanged was for the wonderful treatment of my canine babies. I can't say enough about her so I will stop now. Blenda

They do a beautiful job on our little girl and don't charge a fortune like other salons do.

Thought I let some truth out this morning. I just got fired from The Dog Ranch here in Trinty, Tx…read morefor having a sick child and could not come into work. I have been there for over a month now and here is what I have learned that people/customers should know. The place is infested with roaches ( I'm talking in the food, walls, where the dogs sleep), that's why there is so much construction going on currently because they saw how bad the problem actually is, they tell the customers they walk there dogs 3 times a day when in truth, your dogs are lucky to be walked once a day. They are stuck inside all day/night. I would have to pay attention to the dogs that wouldn't be using the restroom in their kennels to walk them. They would be barking, panting, and drooling because they need to go outside so badly. They pay special attention to the dogs that owners like pictures and make sure those dogs get walked so the owners could see photo proof. If your dog is a pit or pit mix of any kind, they now get put in a separate building with other "aggressive breeds", even if your baby is not aggressive at all, due to a aggressive pit grabbing a dogs head through one of the kennels and that dog got hurt so bad it had to be put down after only being there for less than 24 hours. Though from the camera's, it clearly human error. They only allow customers to see the main hall where it looks fancy, when in truth the majority of the dogs go in the hall that is next to the main hall. If you are in the main hall, you can see the doors that lead to it. If there are customers coming, we have to make sure the doors are closed so people don't ask, what's that way. They don't let customers see this area and the workers are not allowed to enter or exit the doors when customers are around. They don't want anyone to see because of how it looks where the baby's are actually staying. There are some aggressive dogs in there as well that will bite and paw at these dogs as they get walked by because the spacing is so close. They put pine shavings into all the kennels...which roaches live in cause of the warmth and food left behind. Then when your dogs leave, they rake the shavings around to see if the kennel is "refreshable" or if the kennel needs to actually be cleaned before they put a new pet in there. One of the days I was working, I made sure to walk the dogs because they need that, one of the lead people there made us leave early for lunch...while in the middle of walking dogs...then have us go on extra long break. Then when we come back from lunch, instead of us getting back to walking the dogs, she said no, they got walked yesterday...we need to go ahead and clean kennels instead. One time one of the owners came in and was scolding me and another employee while talking to customers because the owners dog got put in the office for safety while we had dogs walking in. Saying she can't be locked up... even though she walks up to all dogs cause she is sweet and some dogs don't like that. When the customers left they were confused as to why this woman was raving in front of them. Unprofessional. They do a walk through and scoop your dogs poop out multiple times a day and check waters but the dogs that are peeing in there... which is most of them....it smells so bad. Those kennels get changed..maybe every other day if their lucky. The dogs that board for a long period of time...they are forced to live on/in pee covered pine shavings until someone decides ok....this needs to be cleaned. When you bring dog toys or bed or anything special, most of the time it gets put on a shelf in the closet so it don't get dirty and the staff does not have to wash it. The splash pad they like to advertise is just for looks. From what I was told it never works. Yes some of the dogs that board here...the good sweet ones that are not nervous....get love and may enjoy there time there because most of the people who work there can be sweet. But everything they let customers see is real nice looking, but in reality, I personally would never board my animals here and if you love your animals, you should really consider what I'm saying. Yes the price is cheaper than most boarding facility's, but there is a reason why it so cheap.

We recently boarded our three dogs at The Dog Ranch. I was very skeptical as we've never had to…read moreboard our dogs before. From our first visit, the staff was super friendly, the facility was super clean and Laura took the time to answer all of our questions. They have a great facility complete with a doggy splash pad and plenty of room to run during their outside time. They also accommodated our request to have all three dogs boarded together in one stall. The stall was huge and gave our dogs plenty of room. During their stay, Laura stayed in communication with me, and even sent me pictures of our dogs. The price was very affordable and we are very happy with our experience. If we ever need boarding again, we will definatley call them!

My boy has issues with impulse control but now I have the tools to help him overcome that. Lonnie and his team were amazing. When I dropped off our 1.5 year old English bulldog, I warned him…read morethat this dog was stubborn and hard headed. I can honestly say we got our money's worth with this one. Gunny did a complete turn around when it comes to his behavior but still maintained his affection. I was worried his playfulness would be completely trained out of him but that isn't the case. Gunny used to jump on everyone and run out the door every chance he got. Many times we've had to sprint around the block chasing him. He chewed on everything he could fit in his mouth and never sat still. If we couldn't see him at all times, he was sure to be destroying something. If we crated him, he howled. Thanks to Canine Texas, we still have our playful adorable pup but we can relax because he actually listens. He loves his place mat now. He gets to be a part of family time now. He hasn't jumped on a single person since bringing him home nor has he tried to run out of the door. He comes when called and we can actually take him for walks on a leash now without him pulling and yanking. We did the 30 day program. Of course we missed our pup but Lonnie sent pictures and updates so we knew he was in good hands. We chose Canine Texas because our dog wouldn't be in a cage in a business. He was at someone's home, in a small group, so he got the attention he needed. Lonnie focuses on truly training the dogs not just making money.
