I'm a Realtor from Orange County and I was doing an Open House in Torrance. I drove by Pooch Pride Grooming, read the Yelp reviews, and didn't hesitate to drop off Osito for a bath. They did a great job. He looked so cute with his bandana around his neck. They were super friendly and kind to him and I was able to pick him up at the time they promised to have him ready. I cannot say enough good things about them. And the fact that they are open on Sunday is a HUGE BONUS. Thank you so much!!!

Razor burn left my dog's foot red and inflamed. One week after, her foot is still in this condition.

I took my dog here after reading great reviews but unfortunately won't ever be coming back. My dog came home with 1 cut on her body and a burn on her foot. She hasn't stopped licking her foot since the incident and it's now gotten very red and inflamed. I've tried to treat it at home but it's been over a week and things still haven't gotten better. When I confronted them about the obvious harm they caused to my dog, they completely denied it and abruptly hung up on me. I've confirmed it was a razor burn from a vet, and it only could've only come from one place. They hurt my dog and I'm stuck with the bill, do not ever take your pet here. Ever.

My dog was extra shaggy because she had major surgery and so I wanted to wait until she was fully recovered before I brought her in, and they still gave her an amazing groom! 10 / 10 - highly recommend them. I took my Bella Dachshund and they really took care of her.She is very nervous when touching nails but they handled her gentlely and came out what I wanted. Owner the groomer is very knowlegable and experienced with excited dog like Bella. After bathing, she put a navy vow tie on her neck and she is so adorable!!!! This groomer is simply the best. They are all so kind, gentle, talented and very flexible with the ability to get my dog in for appointments. My standard poodle who is very shy with people was actually asleep getting her hair floofed one day. She's never locked up in a cage. They are perfectionists and always cut my dogs hair in the most flattering way. My dog is so clean even with just a bath. They always take their time with matting but also give me advice on how to best care for my dog. They noticed a beginning of an ear infection and told me so I was able to catch it with our vet early on. Years ago another dog of mine was seriously injured at a Hermosa Beach groomer, as such I was always scared dropping my dogs off with groomers. I can say Pooch Pride has changed that for me and they have been such a blessing. I won't take my dog anywhere else!

Very cheap prices compared to most places!

I just got a Pembroke Welsh Corgi and he needed grooming ASAP! I called a bunch of places and most of them are booked up or didn't pick up, but Pooch Pride Grooming was available as soon as I called. The owners are very nice and accommodating. Their prices are very reasonable (I paid $49 for the bath package plus $8 for teeth brushing). He was very dirty and hairy when we came in, and he left looking handsome with a very fluffy butt! I will definitely come back every month to get him pampered.

I never thought I would ever find a groomer that would be able to meet and exceed my expectation after working with Julia of Dashing Dogs and Cats, but I did! Per my parents recommendation I tried their groomer, with serious doubt and skepticism. But I ate my words! The family business was exceptional! I called and was able to drop off Daisy in 30 minutes, the wife came out and instantly helped Daisy feel comfortable. (If you've read my other reviews, you already know she has had bad experiences that have made her nervous of new groomers.) Her sincerely caring, recomended hair length and professionalism instantly assured me this was a excellent fit. Daisy was transformed from my tahoe mountain dog back to a chic LA beach Shih Tzu. Wow! I will show you the before and after. Daisy is back to prancing, showing off her new fabou, low maintaince look; with 3 people asking who is her groomer.

I have taken my dog skittles here twice and I am very impressed in the quick customer service response. Thank you to the owner or staff that helped me. I would recommend my friends who have dogs to your location. What to expect when you come here: 1. Plenty of parking space 2. Amazing customer service 3.They will contact you when your dog is done 4. I called last week to make an appointment for my dog Benji, and the person who I spoke with said they were available on Thursday Dec 16 at 1pm or Friday Dec 17 at 10am. Grateful somewhere was available within the next week (a lot of groomers nearby are booked for the holidays), I chose the Thursday option, but it was odd that the person on the other end almost hung up on me without taking down my information (phone number, my name, or my dog's name), as I'm a new client. I quickly stopped them from hanging up on me, asking if they needed my info and she realized I would be a new client and took my information down. I then called today to see if I could reschedule my appointment as something came up at work, but was told my dog wasn't even on the schedule. I'm all about supporting small businesses, but not when communication with potential new customers is unclear and a bit rude (when they asked for name, they got irritated with me when I gave them mine instead of my dog's name). read more

She is rude and I'm never going back. I'm a regular customer and I've been going to this grooming shop for about a year. I arrived 5 minutes early and asked the groomer to cut her butt hair shorter than usual because whenever my dog pees, I needed to wipe her butt. After my simple request, she told me "I don't want to do that. What if your dog walks around and people think her groomer does a bad job? I don't want to cut her hair shorter. I care about balance" Well..... I'm pretty sure people don't care about my dog's butt. Then she also told me to come every 2 weeks if I can't comb her perfectly. My dog is 20lb and has a long double coat. Even though I try, it's hard and that's why I pay $80-$99 every time. It's good that you care about BALANCE but I hope she teaches herself one day that it's also important to meet customer's requests when you run a business. read more

Brought my 17 year old mini schnauzer mix to see Mike at Pooch Pride for the first time today and am so happy with the care and kindness showed to him and the results of his grooming. He was really overdue for grooming, but Mike had him done in two and a half hours . The haircut looks fantastic and my little fella is all well groomed (ears, nails, etc.). We tried Pooch Pride because I really wanted a place that doesn't use a dryer box and loves dogs and what they do. Well, we found what we were looking for. Max was happy there and came out perfect in the time promised at the price promised. I just didn't care for the smell of their shampoo/conditioner, so next time (yes, I'm going back), I'll just bring our shampoo/conditioner and I'll love the whole experience, including Max's smell. Definitely a keeper! read more

I recently got a pomeranian puppy a few days ago and realized she needed to get her nails clipped because they were super long. All the grooming places I called didn't allow walk ins and were booked weeks out. I needed this done ASAP and luckily for me, Pooch Pride Grooming had an appointment available the day of. The people who work here are SUPER nice. This was my puppy's first time at the groomer and although she was crying a little bit, I could tell the people who worked here were trying to calm her down and be gentle with her. After they were done my dog was happy and wagging her tail like crazy. Their prices are VERY reasonable and are based on the weight of the dog....in my case I only paid about $12-$15 for the nail trimming. I loved how gentle they were with my puppy so I booked an appointment for a full grooming session in a few weeks. read more

After having really bad baths at Petsmart the last 2 times I decided to try Pooch Pride. Not only was the price right but the dogs smelled fresh for days after the bath. Since they are scruffy little terriers they need baths frequently and its tough for me to do it myself with a deep tub. Recently got one of them a haircut and it was perfect. Definitely will continue to take them here. read more

I am writing this review because #1, I found injuries on my dog and #2, I don't appreciate them not informing me. This is not ok! We are new to the area and I have tried a few places (over the past year) hoping to find a primary groomer. Looking for an available spot that does good work, is good with my dog and is reasonably priced has been a challenge. We have been here about 3 times and I thought I'd found what I was looking for. She has been here more than a couple times and seems to be more familiar with the staff each time we go. But today I picked her up and I looked her over on the drive home, then I instantly felt so bad for my Nozii. First, I noticed they cut off all her long eyelashes on just one eye. I mentioned it to my husband and felt bad because I would have to cut the other to match. Then I noticed a huge cut on her right elbow! She is a clingy dog and is nervous with most strangers, so I always ask if everything went well with her appointment. They always say, " no, she was good, everything was fine". And she looked fine, she got her puppy cut, as I requested and they gave her a cute little bandana around her neck. As usual, the store owner didn't mention any problems, so I paid the $55 and tipped $15 and we left. I'm sad, and now I have to start the search for a new groomer. read more

Recently I decided to go to a different groomer because of convenience. Although the groomer was fine, my dog ended up having anal glands issues about 3 weeks later and about $250 later, she's finally better. Now I can't say for sure it was the other groomer's fault but the other times I brought my dog to Pooch Pride, there were never any issues with anal glands in between groomings. This place is clean, accommodating with last minute appointments and gets my pup looking adorable. They are also very competitively priced. Totally my bad for trying another place. I'll go a little out of my way from now on...my pup is worth it! read more

First to review? Awesome! After stumbling into this place yesterday to check out how much they charge, I made an appointment and brought my furry little daughter to get her haircut. The owner was very friendly and explained the different techniques she would use to groom the dogs. She went through years of extensive training in South Korea to earn her license before opening her own business in the US. One thing I liked about her way of grooming was the use of scissors to style and trim instead of using a buzzer. My puppy has a hard time standing still while she's getting groomed but that wasn't the issue at this place. She stood still and didn't act nervous because they rarely turned on any noisy buzzers. The lady really knew how to calm down my dog and make her feel at ease throughout the whole time. She really took her time to carefully cut and beautify the little rascal despite all the fidgeting and lack of discipline. My dogs not the easiest to handle when it comes to getting her haircut. Looks like I've found the perfect groomers to handle my crazy lovable maltese! Mochi the princess approves! That's automatic 5 stars for her mommy too! Very modern and clean facility. This is a wonderful place to groom a dog. I have been taking my two shaggy dogs, Sifu and Simei, to this groomer for the past few years. They always come back with great cuts. My two white dogs are feisty and hard to keep calm, but the groomers are always able to handle them. My dogs never look frightened when we take them to get their cut because they know the groomers will take care of them properly. I am always very satisfied with their cut. I recommend this groomer to all of the dogs that need a good cut. read more

Took my dog there today for grooming. This was our second visit, and this time was as good as the first! I was nervous about doing a shorter summer cut, but they assured it would be cute and cool for her in this heat we have been having. She does look great, and seemed relaxed when I picked her up, not all stressed out! Staff very friendly & nice, we definitely will keep using them! read more

I am paying you for a service. You do that service because I requested it. If you don't think he needs that service, then you CALL ME and discuss it with me to get my approval first! Next, they did a piss poor job on the sanitary trim. The whole point of it is to clear the area on their bum so that they don't get matter stuck in the fur and they trimmed very little fur. And to top it off, they returned him to me in a soggy state. Terrible. I'm so angry right now. My poor kitty didn't deserve to be treated like this. How traumatizing for him. If you love your pet, go elsewhere.

We got her at 3 months and I thought that enrolling her in a puppy school would be great for her manners as she grows up. She didn't really have any behavior problems that stood out to us aside from all the normal puppy hyper mayhem zoomies, teething and impatient-ness--since she was figuring out how to be a dog herself too. She started school at 4 months and now she's done at 7 months. We are very busy, and we could only bring her in once a week and it still worked out! Even with a month pause in between because of her spay procedure. You won't regret enrolling your pup in their program because the trainer really understands dog language--a dog whisperer for sure. That being said, it comes with work from home too, so be prepared to hear tips and tricks to do at home. There will be blunt advice, but don't take anything personally. They're seeing it from an outside perspective, and you're seeing your pup as your kid. You're there to make your pup have great manners, the dream dog that you want to have, so you'll have to do discipline. They come as strict, but for the reason being that they know you'll be softer at home. So they're laying strong foundation for your pup. Ginger started with not wanting to walk on a leash, to being very well-mannered on a leash! With dogs barking in the background too. She also learned how to wait, how to get on a point, and how to "drop it." We only had to do an 8 session course. See her progress through January-March! Thank you Torrance Grooming and Training! I heard they also do great grooming, so we will probably try it out sometime too :).

She's a Bichon Frise, and not every grooming salon has experience with the breed. Unfortunately, that often resulted in some very disappointing haircuts. Bella Banana popped up on my Instagram feed, and I decided to give them a try. They had great reviews, but as we all know, good reviews don't always guarantee a good experience. I waited until our second visit before writing this review because I wanted to be sure -- and I can confidently say I absolutely love Bella Banana! First of all, the salon has a fully open concept with large windows where you can actually see the dogs being groomed. This is very important to me. At many other places, they take my Bichon to the back, and I have no idea what's happening -- which always made me uncomfortable. Bella Banana's transparent, open space gives me so much peace of mind and builds real trust. Today I picked up my dog after her grooming, and once again, it was a perfectly satisfying cut. At that time, we really enjoyed this place because their service is warm and friendly, and they made my dog so cute that we could take lots of great pictures while travelling -- I heard that it was Asian freestyle.
