I can see how a snowflake would get their feelings hurt by her blunt attitude. I love it. She's honest and not fake at all. We need more of that these days. If you want a great haircut and a great conversation then I highly recommend Martins. If you want a half ass haircut, someone who is fake and will just kiss your ass so that you tip good, go to Supercuts or somewhere like that. The one bad review Martins has is from someone who didn't even get a haircut. Just walked in, got their feelings hurt and walked out. That's the kind of customer you don't want.

She used a variety of tools, including straight razor, clippers and scissors, to do what my Wife called my best haircut in a very long time. Wynstan did especially well on my trouble spots giving me a great looking cut. She also provided advice on routine care. Some of the things that set Tonsorial apart were their online capabilities for scheduling, their beautiful and secure facility, and their warm and welcoming demeanor. The cost was also not much more than I regularly pay at other providers.

You feel a sense that you're priority. Conversations with the staff are real life down to earth and genuine you can always have a great laugh and they make you really feel like family. My son loves "Johnathan" he is really great with children. The entire staff is top tier when it comes to professionalism and prestige trendy haircuts. This past year getting to know the entire staff on a personal level has been such a neat experience. I love how there is a woman on staff (she's a powerhouse) and is very confident and complimenting to a staff of just men and she is equally as great as them. The owners training provided to the staff speaks volumes through their cuts and hairstyles. They're all an extremely talented group. I love the diversity in the staff as well as the culture. It's really a special place! Thankful to call this place our barber shop home.

This place was gold until the owner decided to destroy everything good about it. This was something I looked forward to every 2 weeks, for at least 2 years. My son and I would go here to get a haircut. Only saw the owner twice in that time. We developed a relationship with the stylists. The place took on a personality of its own. It buzzed. Great conversations, great personalities. The stylists got to know you and became your friends. Then the owner came back to work and ruined everything. Go here if you want a Sports Clips/Supercuts experience. Go here if you want a vanilla experience. This place lost all its appeal. All the talent left for another shop at 71st and Elm.

This place is truly an old fashioned barbershop, which is what I like so much about it (cash only). I've enjoyed hearing Mike tell the history of his shop and the relationships he has made over the years. He has had the shop since the early 1970s. When my son and I first started going there (7 years ago) it was Mike and 3 other barbers working there...now it's just Mike and Laverne. When we first started going there it was a challenge to drag my son in there for a haircut, now he willingly goes and brags about how good his hair looks afterwards. If you are the type of customer who appreciates nostalgia, no frills, and a good hair cut at a fair price ($15) this is the place for you. Also, Laverne is quite the story teller and I've enjoyed overhearing her conversations with others even if she is not cutting my hair. These types of barbershops are becoming a thing of the past, which Mike and Laverne will attest to.

Just having loved to Tulsa, I have been dreading getting a new barber and have put off getting my hair cut in order to avoid it. After looking around online, this shop seemed to be a good mix between the service I wanted at a price I could afford. I will be honest, the reviews almost spooked me away, but I decided to go ahead and give it a try anyways, and I am so glad that I did. Tom did a great job with my haircut. He greeted me when I walked in the door and did a great job ensuring he knew what I wanted done with my hair. He worked quickly and gently, and finished it with a hot towel and straight razor. Yes, I have had longer hot towel finishes (as another review mentioned), but I'm not coming for the towel, I am coming for a quality haircut, which is exactly what I received. My personal experience found the negative reviews to be misleading and not accurate. All of this to say, I have found my barber in Tulsa now, and I will definitely be going back to Tom the next time I need a cut!
