Dr. Smith actually studied under the doctor that created the surgical procedure I had as a toddler. Way Cool! We went in for a consultation. We didn't end up using him for the surgery (hospital privileges & other things were hard to coordinate), but I did schedule a few appointments to come in for a glycolic peel. Mom was willing to pay, I was willing to go. Super friendly staff from the front desk to the nurses. Very courteous & helpful with providing as much information as you need. If I ever consider doing anything cosmetically - doubtful, but never say never - I would definitely have Dr. Smith's office on my list as one of the first places to check out.

I genuinely keep coming back because of the friendly staff, and trust. Now if or when that day ever comes where surgically I'd like to have something done, I'd choose Contoura. But for now, I'm happy coming here every few months for things like skin care, sun damage repair, advice (that's a big one) etc. Living in Florida, you Need a good skin care plan & regimen to keep the sun damage away. With skin cancer running in my family, I try to stay ahead of the matter as much as I can. A few years back I did a series of IPL laser treatments that really helped reverse some of the sun damage I did in my teens & early 20's by laying out on the beach entirely too much. Contoura's also helped me with embarrassing things like hormonal adult acne. I never thought I'd have to go through a mild phase of my teenage years all over again in my thirties but, there I was a year ago, trying everything under the sun on my own to get rid of it and nothing was working. I booked an appointment at Contoura to express my concern and the remedy was way easier than I expected. Tretinoin. That cleared everything up real quick plus helps with fine lines &/or wrinkles. A two for one? I'm in! (If there are any women out there reading this wondering why you are breaking out when choosing to discontinue birth control, try tretinoin. This should help the issue in less than a week's time) Ok now that I've way overshared in this review, I need to give a huge thankful shout out to Becky! Over the past couple of years, I've booked appointments with Becky at Contoura and her advice and company while visiting Contoura is always a real pleasure. I genuinely look forward to seeing her and catching up with what's going on in her life. I've raved about Brookes in my 5 star google review a few years back and I definitely stand by that statement. Brookes is wonderful to book appointments with and a pleasure to see, always. Now it's time I rave about Becky here on Yelp, and Destin! Both women will tell you the best advice for keeping a youthful glow that's catered to your skin, and help you achieve that goal. I honestly can't rave about all of the staff enough. I didn't know that Dr. Riordan comes out this way too and I really like her and I was sad at the prospect of losing her. Thank goodness. Every staff person I came into contact with was really nice. Also, they seem to be a lot faster than the other location. I have to get a special exam every 6 months as I'm a genetic suspect for a condition and they want to catch it early if anything changes. The entire visit from the special exam, the imaging, the vision test, the doctor exam was efficient but not rushed and I was always asked if I had any questions. I'm gonna continue coming here. I overheard that they do not take vision insurance while in the office. I assume that's because they are a specialist office but I'd double-check that.
