In the meantime I went to Lisac's Tire for a quote, they said they could get the parts same day from local suppliers. Just before I went to Lisac, Les Schwab called to give me a quote. Same guy from the front desk, he said it would cost approximately $3,300.00 and they would not be able to get to it this week. All that money for presumably just rotors, brake pads, calipers, and labor. I told him I'd just go to Lisac. Lisac then completed the job in just a few hours for $319.00 and told me my calipers did not actually need to be replaced. I only asked for them because Les Schwab told me I needed them! With little choice, we limped at 40mph 20 miles back to Butte. That was Saturday. We holed up in a hotel until Monday when things opened back up. Dealership service dept.s were full up. Kevin, office manager, of Car Tune took in our truck with no promise of being able to fix whatever was wrong in a hurry but did offer to run diagnostics asap. We left the vehicle with him/them and made our way back to our hotel. After only a few hours Kevin called us and said it was fixed. Indeed it was. We were able to salvage part of our intended trip and drove the truck pulling our trailer back home - 630 miles, 11.5 hours. No overheating. The truck ran perfect. Thanks Kevin, Kevin and crew! On my way to a show in Big Timber, Montana, my vehicle was…read moremaking horrific noises from the front end, so, on the way to my concert, I pulled into Kolar Tire & Auto praying they could help. My vehicle was quickly diagnosed with bad wheel bearings and CV joints. To make matters worse, I had a concert in Oregon the next night, 15 hours away. They assured me they would work as hard as they could to get it done. My fiddle player rented a vehicle at the Bozeman Airport so we could get to the show. Kolar Tire & Auto give my fiddle player, security guard and I a ride to the airport. Once we picked up the rental car we stopped for food because we had been on the road for 15 hours coming from other shows. WHILE WE WERE EATING, I received a phone call from Greg saying my vehicle was finished. In an hour and a half! Mind blown. I can't thank this crew enough for the quick response and they have earned my loyalty for life. I will tell all of the other touring artists I work with to stop there if they need anything.
