We rented out all 10 rooms for an annual gathering. Each room has its own eclectic feel. There are rooms with two bedrooms, there are rooms with one bedroom. There is a continental breakfast area near the main office that also overlooks the lake. The owner and his wife are very nice and friendly individuals. They make you feel like family. We will most definitely come here again and recommend them to people who I k ow would enjoy this peaceful Gem.

AND You will miss a charming, one of a kind, Americana stay. A restored 1950's drive up motel, you are offered spectacular lakefront views and breezes amid the rustle of palms. Owners are more than pleasant - we had2 situations in which they provided kind and pleasant assistance. The Cafe is closed due to Covid, but we brought back meals and ate in the lakefront screen house while watching the sun set. The room was spotless, the bath tiny but remodeled. We were in#4, a suite with a lake view. 1950's furniture added to the ambiance, and I loved the pre Disney Floridian prints. A bit short on plugs to handle today's electronics, and no clock - which did us good. Turn the 'tronics off and forget the current time .... just enjoy!

If you appreciate older hotels you will love Hunters Arms! Located in the heart of downtown right in the middle of other wonderful businesses. You've got a deli nearby, many coffee shops, in fact one right below the hotel (John 3:16 cafe) and a cigar/cuban coffee shop you can't miss out on!! There's restaurants, bakeries and many little family shops and businesses nearby. They have a police department in town there and a substation where local officers walk the beat in town. Don't forget to visit your local VFW !! Very old school charm downtown and the hotel shares that charm. It's dated but special. Excellent staff and low cost for weary travelers wanting to have $ for other things. You'll have plenty to shop for right out the front door when you stay here. A MUST try experience if you like kicking it old school which I do. Come experience the magic of the hidden gem that this hotel and downtown is!! If you're a hotel snob this is not the place for you. There are plenty of expensive fancy choices elsewhere. I'll always chose Hunters Arns.

The outdoor area was nice. Located right in downtown St. Cloud, it is quaint. I don't know that I would stay at the hotel unless I was attending an event there of somewhere nearby but it was cute enough.

Grand Lake Resort - Taken from the row boat out on the lake. I was told this is Lake Wilson but not sure.

Loved it here!! Wish we had stayed longer!!…read more Bed was comfy, room was clean. Kitchen was fully equipped. Much bigger than I expected! I was amazed! But my favorite was the steam shower!! So wonderful!! It feels so good! Everyone we met was super nice! They have a lake for fishing or going out in a canoe/paddle boat, which appeared to be included but I can't be sure, we didn't have time to check it out. A playground for the kiddies. A pool. Shuffleboard and volleyball net. and that's just what I saw!!! We were only here one night! I loved it! Very reasonable!! Met our needs, I would love to stay here again!

The outside looks a little run down (broken and flapping sign, lack of attention to landscaping). The problems we experienced with our unit included: 1. Broken bathtub faucet. 2. Broken air conditioner. 3. Non-working outlets, making it impossible to use a computer in some locations in the unit. 4. No internet when we most needed it (it was down for a day). 5. Roaches (in two different units) You really don't want to be in Florida without air conditioning. When the AC broke, the maintenance man came up right away and diagnosed the problem. He said he could fix it but it had to be off overnight before he could do that. They moved us to a different unit for the night -- they would not consider moving us permanently, so we slept in the other unit and kept our stuff in the original unit and moved back the next day. It was very inconvenient. We saw a very large roach in the first unit just before the AC broke. For that reason I was glad to be going to a different unit. However, we saw another roach (a juvenile) in the second unit as soon as we got there. And they were bold roaches! Clearly, there had to be a serious infestation for us to be seeing them that quickly. Once we got our AC working, the internet went down for a day. At this point, we really didn't want to stay much longer. The bathtub faucet was fixed quickly, but we ended up not using it because of the time it took. The non-working outlets were never addressed. I wouldn't recommend this place.
