Vicki made me feel comfortable, relaxed & so glad I chose P+S for my first facial experience. I told her about my Aloe & Ylang Ylang oil allergies upfront & she was happy to accommodate me. I decided to go with the classic Pure + Simple Facial which ended up being such a great choice. The service was about and hour and included multiple masks, moisturizers, face, neck & shoulder massages. I also opted for a skin peel add-on. I was also able to get a sample of their moisturizer before I left. A great plus point is the free parking! I'm so glad I don't have to drive downtown to a spa. She started from doing a facial assessment for me, pointed out where she would like to "fix it" to overall improve my facial contour. From there, Pauline was incredibly informative and booked me an appointment on the day I requested for a consult and lash appointment. When I arrived, I filled out a short form and then was taken to the back where there were 6 (maybe 8, my memory fails me) comfy chairs set up with a warm blanket on each one. The chairs are "lazy boy" style and recline back to offer a full, comfortable experience. If you have back problems, the chairs are great because your whole body feels incredibly supported. These chairs are 100x more comfy than sitting in a flatbed. I also felt my neck was really well supported -- super important since lash appointments usually take 1-3 hours from start to completion (depending on the type). Once I was settled in, Pauline asked me what I was looking to do (refill, new set, etc) as well as what length and curl I wanted. From there, she washed my lashes with soap and a eyeshadow brush! She let me know what she was doing every step of the way. My 2 hours appointment flew by and I'm pretty sure I even took a small nap. Overall, the place is clean, there's plenty of parking and is easy to find. Most importantly, Pauline takes great care in what she does and you can rest assured that your lashes are well taken care of here As a bonus, they have a 3 day warranty where you can get a free touch up if your lashes fall out prematurely. I left not knowing what the results should look and feel like, but now that I've gotten a bunch of Brazilian sugars done (with another business), I can confirm that my experience with Sugar Me Spa was not great. I still had a lot of hair that hadn't been "pulled" out by the sugar, but I thought that's how Brazilian waxes were as it was my first time receiving one. It looked like I had shaved quickly and didn't bother to go over a second time to get all the remaining hairs. It didn't bother me as I trusted the process and was planning to book with Sugar Me Spa again once time came. Their online booking was extremely inaccurate in regards to the times and/or dates available for services. I booked my second appointment, only to be texted that the establishment was closed during the time slot I had chosen and I had reschedule. I wasn't able to reschedule, so I cancelled it instead. I booked another appointment 1 month later (with Jasmyne as I already dealt with her my first time around), through the same online system. I received another text a week before my appointment stating Jasmyne was not working during the date and time I had chosen. I was offered different dates and times to reschedule, however, time was too tight to reschedule. I asked if another aesthetician could provide the service, to no avail. I rescheduled my appointment 1 month later (with Jasmyne) in August 2019, only to be texted that Jasmyne couldn't make it to work and was asked to reschedule again... Overall, over a span of 4 months, I went once with mediocre results. Their appointment booking service is extremely hectic and inconsistent.
