Liege is the type of city that you have to know the special places to go because they won't pop out in front of you. It was by mere luck that we ran across this lovely bakery and dessert lounge. We walked into Patisserie Jean Pierre and completely fell in love with the place. I felt like I was in wonderland. It's nothing but assorted pastries, chocolates, and plenty of other sweets to get lost in for the moment. We ordered hot chocolate, along with pies,pies and pies. There was a line when we came but it moves quick. You order off the street and walk around to eat it. They go through so many waffles that they continue to make them fresh so the quality stays high. I got mine with nutella and the guy spent 2 minutes making sure nutella was spread properly for every bite. A lot of good waffles in Liege and I think this one is TOP!

I got the classic vanilla waffle and coconut chocolate covered marshmallow to try, and the waffle was perfectly soft; warm, pillowy and slightly crunchy on the outside. The coconut marshmallow was alright, it was nothing amazing, just a chocolate covered marshmallow on a biscuit/cookie. The worker I spoke to, a blonde man, was so patient and happy to explain what each dessert was even though it was so busy! Definitely a must visit/try in Liège!
