Really unkind to his patients and staff. Also, my root canal failed and wasn't done according to best practice.

I had to cease care here because I became too exhausted by the rudeness of the office manager. For instance, when I had just arrived as a new patient and she was explaining that they screen everyone for sleep apnea, she gleefully informed me that she "was already seeing some signs!" that I had it. Telling someone you just met moments ago that they look like they have sleep apnea is objectively rude. (I do not have sleep apnea. I had simply been up late crying the night before!) Another example: she kept harassing me about the fact that I requested Covid precautions for my appointments. She repeatedly pressured me in a very loud and condescending, almost teasing, tone of voice to give some sort of health reason for these requests (even though I had filled out their in-depth health history form). I was simply too exhausted by this bullying to return for my next appointment. No patient--of any health status/background--should have to defend why they do not want to catch Covid or other airborne viruses at the dentist. Please, kindly, consider toning down the attitude toward patients. They are just trying to get their dental care in peace. The dental care and the rest of the staff were all great!

WAY TOO EXPENSIVE!…read more Unfortunately, I needed a root canal. My doctor referred my over to him. I am in the chair hearing all this BS about losing teeth and so on and then wham! $1650 for a root canal. Give me a fu$%#g break. This procedure is $250 with my insurance. Lesson to everyone, find individual insurance, Dentists today are thieves. Levin did the work. So can many others. These guys think they are worth the money, what a joke!

I'm writing on behalf of a patient who does not speak English fluently. This patient and I would…read moregive Dr. Stanley Levin negative stars. He was not only rude but he ridiculed and humiliated this patient because they decided not to have his recommended procedure done due to lack of funds. The patient went in for a routine consultation with Levin. After Levin completed his examination, he recommended that a certain procedure be done to fix the ailing tooth. When the patient asked how much the procedure would cost, Levin answered with an amount that was just too much for this patient to afford. When the patient turned down the recommended procedure, Levin tried to negotiate and offered the procedure at a discounted price. Even with the discount, the procedure was too expensive. When the patient declined again, Levin mocked the patient crying out, "$100, $0" as if these amounts were the only amounts the patient could afford. Even with the language barrier, the patient could sense that Levin was making fun of either their lack of funds or their unwillingness to have the procedure done. Needless to say, tempers flared on both sides and made worse with increased miscommunication. In the end, regardless of the motivation behind Levin's mockery, there is absolutely no justification for Levin's treatment of this patient. Levin should have just accepted the patient's decision not to have the procedure done and left it at that. But Levin chose to humiliate the patient showing extreme insensitivity, rudeness and unprofessionalism. The patient will never return to Levin's practice ever again or recommend it to anyone else. Just because a language barrier exists does not give Levin or anyone else to treat people with such disrespect and ridicule. Based on this behavior, Levin seems to lack basic common courtesy and mutual respect - perhaps Levin may benefit from some sensitivity or anger management training.
