It's located across from the plaza that has Ko's, Hip Hop, LAX and others. The inside has plenty of tables and booths, and there is a counter at the far back for pickup / takeout orders. The pupusa menu stands out... there's a whopping 13 different options! I decided to get an Ayote (squash) and Frijoles (beans). Now, they took a while... like a whiiiiile lol. The place was about half full, but folks were constantly in and out for takeout orders... seems to be the norm in terms of service based on other reviews. So call ahead! That's what I'm gonna do next time. And there most definitely will be a next time because THEY WERE DELICIOUS! Great texture, great filling... nice and cheesy, but not obnoxiously. I'm going to make it a point to go through the full list. The Loca sounds fun because it has pork, chicken, beans, cheese, squash AND loroco. If you like pupusas, give em a shot for sure. But be prepared to wait if you don't order ahead. Also, try dining in!

When I asked for plates, I was told they could only give me seven because that was the limit. How does that make sense for an order feeding ten people? After I explained this, the employee reluctantly gave me ten plates, but her attitude made me feel like I was asking for some huge favor. The plates were so thin that the liquid from the curtido--the cabbage served with the pupusas--soaked right through them. They weren't suitable for the food we were eating. They're also consistently stingy with the cabbage. There's plenty of tomato sauce, but getting enough cabbage to go with the order is another story. The service is otherwise okay, and I have no complaints about the flavor or prices. But customers placing a large order shouldn't have to argue for enough plates for everyone eating. If decent plates and adequate sides require a small price increase, I'd rather pay that than deal with this hassle. Great food, but this experience left a bad impression. Basic supplies shouldn't feel like a battle.

It's a hole in the wall! But hole in the walls are sometimes gems! I was the only female customer at 6ish. Quite a few men in the restaurant. The ladies working there are super nice, and attentive. Let's Get Into It! Cheese Enchilada - Met expectations. The chili sauce is not spicy and they made that enchilada cheesy! Fajitas- Met expectations. I have had better fajitas honestly but these weren't bad. Price point: Very Inexpensive for the amount of food! Overall, the place is decent. It has a El Salvadoran menu and Mexican menu, which for me I'm not a fan of. The Mexican dishes were okay but their tortillas were more thick and El Salvadoran style. I wouldn't return as the food was just okay for my liking. There were loud men singing at the top of their lungs like they were on the Latin Voice and that was off putting. I get it, they are having fun, but it wasn't karaoke night and was disturbing. I left after two songs of the man singing, thankfully I was already done. Definitely worth a try though for others.

Since I'm working near La casita, I decided to give the pupusas a try and I gave it a 5 stars because I love how their pupusas are evenly made. They are so perfect! I ordered three chicken and cheese pupusas, and they were a great size. I was nearly full after the first two. The flavor was on point. My apologies for my photo because I was already halfway through my third pupusa before I remembered to snap a picture. I also tried the corn tamale, which my wife and I enjoyed a lot. On top of that, I ordered a steak taco, which unfortunately didn't make it into a picture either because I ate it too fast. What stood out to me was the "shell." Instead of the usual flour or corn tortilla, it uses the same masa dough as the pupusa, and I really enjoyed that difference. We finished our meal with the nuegados en miel dulce, something I had never tried before. I was glad I did because it was delicious and a great way to end the meal. Overall, the food and experience were excellent. If you are like me and rely on Yelp reviews to decide where to eat, I highly recommend giving La Casita Pupuseria & Market a visit. You will be well pleased like I was.
