Theme park food can be hit and miss but I thought that Polles Keuken was surprisingly good. It's conveniently located in the middle of Efteling next to the new signature attraction, Symbolica. There's inside and outside seating but it's fun to eat inside where there's a giant animated kitchen contraption. Its oven doors will open and close while spinning wheels with all sorts of kitchen utensils hanging from them spin around. It's something interesting to look at while you're waiting for your food. They have an English version of the menu available, which was much appreciated. While Polles Keuken is a pancake house that's not all the menu is limited to. I didn't think it would be smart to fuel up for a full day of theme park craziness on just sugar dishes so we were able to get some hearty chicken soup as well as dessert pancakes. My pancake was huge and had a full banana baked into it. The chocolate that they gave me to pour on it was delicious. And when the meal was over I was able to pay at the table with Apple Pay when the waitress came back. We thought this was a great way to take a break for lunch and would definitely eat here again. read more
