Schnitzel tenderloin and polish sausage with 5 potato and dill pierogies with house salad

I was very surprised to discover this restaurant in Penticton. The food was very tasty. The waiter told us that the food would take about 15 to 20 minutes to be served and that made us think it would be homemade .He was very friendly. I will definitely come back.

We used Yelp to find this place. We were laughing as a previous review stated it was the best meal they ever had. So we had to try this place. The food was amazing. We ordered lots between the four of us. We make chicken cutlets (Italian style) at home all the time. Their schnitzel was was as good as Nonna's and my wife's. The variety of perogies was awesome. Best we ever had. They're that good. The cabbage rolls were incredible. My favourite of the meal. Meatballs were fantastic. Everything is obviously homemade using the best of ingredients. I'll say this is easily one of the best restaurant meals I've ever had. It's about the food and that's what matters to us the most. We closed the place down and the owner/server had a nice chat with us and took a photo for us. I will eat here every time when in Penticton. Thanks.

I found my happy place in Penticton and it's not at the beach! So yummy at the Polish Bistro Restaurant and can't wait for my next visit. The home-made cabbage rolls and pirogies were scrumptious. With each bite, I felt the motherly love of the chef. The Pirogies were perfectly pan-fried while the dough stayed tender and the cheese fillings creamy. The cabbage rolls were solid and so easy to put a knife though without it falling apart. My friend had the Schnitzel Tenderloin and it was not greasy but crispy and tender. Enjoyed talking to the owner and learning about their move from Thunder Bay to Penticton and running their business. They are a hard working husband and wife team and glad they are in BC champion Polish food. The menu is affordable and the wine list is local. On the walls, a few large photo murals take up the restaurant. The largest photo is Gdańsk where the owner once lived and so beautiful.

    Perfect Borscht!

Fantastic, authentic, home cooked Polish staples. The Borsch, Pierogis - in many flavors, cutlets, and the Polish Sausage are all my usual go-to's. The mini-cutlets are just how Oma used to make them! Bonus to find some classic Czech and Polish beers on the menu too. Great, friendly service means a good meal and visit with the owner every time we have dined here.

This is my favorite restaurant in Penticton. I really hope they don't discriminate against the unvaccinated.

It consisted of a winter salad ($5), linguine carbonara ($25) and toblerone mousse ($5) for a total of $35. The starter salad was delicious, it consisted of gorgonzola, hazelnut, pear dressing and fresh pear. There was the perfect amount of gorgonzola, I actually want to take notes and make this salad at home in the future. The dessert was delicious, consisting of pear butter, fresh pear, hazelnut sponge and chantilly. Together, they were definitely worth $5 each. However, the Liguine Carbonara missed the mark. It was supposed to have Gunaciale, a rich, fatty cured italian pork product. However, I had a SINGLE small piece in my carbonara beneath the arugula. My cousin who ordered the exact same thing had 8+ pieces. The linguine itself tasted house made.. however the carbonara was extremely bland. I didn't taste any salt, pepper or cheese. I was very disappointed to pay $25 for a small portion, that didn't have any flavour nor meat. For me to be disappointed with food while drunk speaks volumes. I think this restaurant has potential. Service was great. I would be willing to return again and try something else.

The food was mediocre, we both ordered chicken sandwiches with salad, however I have had menu items here that I have enjoyed better. It was just a very uninteresting sandwich. One thing I couldn't help but notice was that we were given two different wine glasses while sharing a bottle of wine. To me, that's a huge no no at a winery and I was quite surprised by it. The service was lacking a bit, our waitress was friendly but drinks nor food were checked up on.

Service here was pretty bad…read more We had made reservations and stopped by the day prior to double check they had the time right. Before we even got one word out, the host looked at us and said "oh you need a reservation to eat here and we are all full." Umm...ya we have a reservation, we were just asking a question! We confirmed the reservation time with him and inquired about being able to reserve a table on the patio as we were there celebrating a special occasion. He told us "no we can't save a seat outside, and most likely the patio will be full, you will have to sit indoors." Everyone was a bit offput by his unnecessarily snarky attitude but oh well. Fast forward to the next day of our reservation, we showed up for our 8:00pm reso and were told "oh, no it says here you already checked in for your reservation today at 5pm." We were super confused and assured them that we had indeed not checked in at 5pm and the woman said again "well, that's what it says here." Lol! They finally believed us that we were not having 2 dinners and found us a seat (on the patio!) The food took about 75 minutes to arrive. I ordered a tuna sandwich without bacon. It arrived with a ton of bacon on it! I pointed it out and the waitress said "oh sorry I forgot to ask them...do you want to make a new one?" Since our food took over an hour to come out, there was no way I was going to wait to make a whole new meal, so I just peeled the bacon off and ate my sandwich. No one else's food had mistakes but we were all disappointed with the service, disorganization, and slowness.

We found just being direct was the best way, they are not the type of servers who will read your mind and follow a checklist. Ask for a jug of water and order right away if your starving. The 4 stars is more for the food and ambiance. Very nice view, beautiful twinkle lights. The food we had was great! Calamari was delicious, not over cooked. The Cobb salad had lots of ingredients and a great flavour! The ravioli (not a large portion) was delicious and rich (why there isn't a large portion) It was excellent Lastly we had the sticky toffee pudding. Tasted like Christmas. Was good, but nothing compares to the Rimrock in Whistler. All in all I left very happy. Just lower your expectations for service.
