The way the dentist spoke to me was unacceptable, I have never been treated like that by any dentist or doctor in my whole life, I'm 33. As soon as i said to the dentist that I'm not sure yet whether to have the 3 fillings done privately, which she said I needed, or under the NHS and wanted some time to think about it, she made it clear that I was of no interest to her and was plain rude. I have fillings in all but 3 of my teeth and have to see the dentist regularly so you would think they would want my business as I usually get my teeth done privately and spend a lot on that.

Fine if your private, but avoid like the plague if your an NHS patient…read more The staff are friendly enough until you state that you're an NHS patient, once they realise that they're rude, discourteous, and just want to get you out as soon as possible. The actual dentist I was assigned is the most unprofessional I've ever come across and was more interested in trying to get me to pay for private care than to actual carry out the treatments. In an average appointment she spent more time chatting to her assistant and / or playing with her mobile phone than actively treating me. I joined them last year as they looked professional and unlike many dentists in the area still take NHS patients. I could not have been more disappointed, they're constantly trying to get me to pay for private treatments rather than NHS and have refused to give either me or my wife a scale and polish, If we want that we have to pay £45 each to see the dental hygienist. The official NHS charge for a scale and polish (i.e. Band 1 dental treatments) is only £16.50! Getting an appointment takes a minimum of three months, and if you have to cancel for any reason you can expect to wait another three months, even if the work is relatively urgent. The actually work itself is also substandard. I got an infection in one tooth after the dentist 'prepared' it for a root canal and crown, this led to over a week of sever pain and needing to have the tooth removed rather than simply being treated. I decided to finish the course of treatment with them as I was having trouble finding an alternative surgery accepting NHS patients but now wish I hadn't as a botched filling they did led to another extraction being needed, sadly it was a more prominent one too. I'm currently desperately looking for another NHS dentist before I'm due another check-up or any work needs doing!

When i arrived for my appointment i had to wait 25 minutes to be seen and the dentist i saw was rude, difficult to understand, rather short tempered (even to his nurse in front of me!) and very abrupt. He offered no tempory filling, explaination for my pain or soloution - i was just referred elsewhere. When speaking to the receptionist to make my next appointment, i asked to see a different dentist at the practice next time as i didn't feel happy with the one i had just seen and her response; 'Not really, no' prompted me to tell her politely that i'd rather not make another appointment at all then, which she accepted immediately! I was nervous to begin with and this just cemented my fear of dentists, which is a shame as i'm sure there are some sympathetic practices in the area. AVOID AT ALL COSTS! I have since spoken to other patients who have agreed with me - neither i, nor they will be going back there in a hurry.

hello there fellows looking for reviews i would like to complain (it was horrible and…read moregob-smackingly bad experience) about this dentist which my grandchildren attend to every month on a Wednesday after netball at school. they really enjoy netball, i used to play with them but my back breaks have been a bit less oily and they are getting a bit rusty,u feel me?but ye fam anyway mate what happened was they were playing netball in my 2 foot by 2 feet garden 20 sorry yes 20 foot by 20 feet . anyway however basically u know netball have different colours and patterns? lets pretend ya do, basically yeah so yeah they were playing with there pink stripy balls ;) and one of them the older drug addict one lost because he had some weed and alcohole i told him GET OFF MY SWAMP! (you know that meme? ive been tryna get with the kids on the block recently) but yeah so yeah what happened was he got off i snapped my back and the NHS saved me by finishing the game of netball. but that is why the dentist was bad, as you can see it was a very simple and obvious problem.

I've been with this dentist since 2001. My dentist changes every 2 years or so they don't stay too…read morelong. If you get your treatment for free they give you as much dental work as possible although the quality isn't great. If you you pay then they give you as little as possible. Appointments for check ups often get cancelled for one reason or another so you're always chasing for another one. If you need to see a dentist urgently then it's not always possible. Prices are as per the NHS so there is no hidden surprises. If I could find better I would but the convenience for me is that it's at the end of my road.
