It's been a long time since I've done pole aerobics and the Inversion Conditioning Class really whipped my butt but in a good way! The instruction was great and the class was fun and I learned some new techniques and skills. I was able to get upside down on the pole but not for a long time. It definitely reminded me that i need to work on my core. It was a small group of four of us so we were able to get some one-on-one pointers which was nice! For inversion condition make sure to bring a personal towel, yoga mat, alcohol spray and a wipe to clean your pole (if you do not you can purchase a towel and alcohol for $5 and they prefer cash) Music: good! Lorena is such an amazing pole dance instructor with awesome energy! My girlfriend & I came here to have our first pole dance class. I was a bit nervous, but she made the steps easy to follow & was so encouraging, it was hard not to have fun! I was surprised how much I was sweating, it was such a good workout. I almost fell a couple times because I was so sweaty I was slipping off the pole, Haha but I had so much fun I didn't care :P Parking was not too bad. She has her own parking lot where you can park for free. North Park is notorious for no parking, so I was so relieved by the private parking lot. Even if her's is full, there's a restaurant right next to her that offers $5-$10 parking. The place is spacious, I love the different color light hues so it really helps being in the mood. We brought yoga mats to stretch on & our own towel+alcohol spray to make sure we are following sanitary guidelines. You can come to class without a mask if you show proof of vaccination. I would definitely recommend this place! I honestly can't wait to return. What a fun way to learn something new, get fit, while also empowering your feminine energy. This was my first time attending any sort of event/ class. I entered the studio and wasn't greeted or directed to where the studio was. I was rushing bc they send a preclass e-mail emphasizing NOT TO BE LATE. One of the employees rushed into the bathroom right before me, not greeting, no direction then proceeded to talk the entire time right up until we started the class. Came here foR the beginners pole dancing class, and was not disappointed. Nadine was the instructor at 8pm and she was running a little late since the schedule got botched somewhere down the line. She made it up to the class by providing us with the full time and I think 2 additional songs to freestyle style to. She is very vulgar but in a funny way. If you are easily offended (you're silly), you'll maybe want to pass on her class. She is welcoming and all of your nervousness just melts away with her spunky behavior. I have never taken pole dancing lessons but after this one class, I'm hooked. Btw, bring kneepads or wear leggings. After having my baby, I wanted to reintegrate and I contacted the instructor (Lorena) as I felt ready to return. She was very patient with me and little by little I was regaining strength and confidence in myself to continue this sport that I love so much. This is the great place to learn Pole dance ! I've been in this Pole dance community almost 8yrs and I can proudly say that this is the one of the Best studio I can recommend in San Diego. Instructors are super inspired and motivated , I've learned a lot from them. This studio is so welcoming, and packed with fantastic instructors. Lorena was very helpful in getting me to my first class prepared. I'm in my 40's and not particularly athletic, so I was very nervous, but after some private lessons with Stacey, I was full of confidence and eager sign up for all the classes. I have been to 8 classes now, and have worked with Stacey, Lorena, Lilybelle, and Ziyah. They've all been excellent teachers, and I really appreciate learning from their individual styles and experience. I can't wait to work with the others as well. I hosted a private party here for my birthday in January and it was SO MUCH FUN. Lorena was the instructor for the night and she made the pole dancing easy enough for anyone to follow. The pole dancing routine we did was a WORKOUT so bring water. You get to wear stilettos (optional but I highly recommend) that's provided by the studio. This is the best pole studio I have been to. I'm so sad I had to move and can't take classes here anymore. Lorena is amazing! All instructors are very detailed in explaining how to get into tricks and just overall great teachers. They also have a good amount of time at the beginning and end of class for warm-up stretching and cool-down, which I have not experienced at other studios. I also love the space here. The tile and lights look super good in videos, overall a great vibe. Additionally, everyone is very friendly and welcoming it really feels like a community. 10 classes for $180 is a steal for this place! Truly an amazing studio with great teachers and students. I love this pole studio!! I'm a 6'4" male so I really appreciate the height of the poles which allows me to invert multiple times with no problem. Classes have a great atmosphere being very friendly and comfortable while also providing a very personal level of instruction because classes are kept at a sensible size. Lorena is one of my favorite teachers here always helping me push for new challenging repertoire in my upper level tricks, and has a profound knowledge of the world of pole dance.
