It was the first time in my life I'd been in a car accident that was mine to deal with, so I was entirely unfamiliar with the process of making my claim and dealing with the other insurance company. Beth and Carmen were always great about answering my many questions--and anticipating many of my questions before I even had a chance to ask them. I don't judge a business based on one encounter with a front person, so I tried email. The remarkable part: None other than THE OWNER, NED, BOTH CALLED AND EMAILED TO TAKE ME TO TASK. I learned the receptionist lied, telling him I'd called her "stupid" before hanging up. I was startled by his reaction-- to immediately believe her, then to be so undiscerning as to immediately call and write me to say he is not interested in working with me. So: why should anyone else care? Because, this is what i call a "character revealing moment." This is how Ned runs his business. This is how Ned addresses conflict. This is how Ned, if anything goes awry, will deal with you.
