Love this rink! Awesome place! It is very big so it is very good for public skating! I recommend it to everyone who wants to ice skate!

Friendly staff, clean restrooms. My kid is taking lessons, no prior skating experience and she's doing great. Don't forget a coat, it's cold around the ice (if you aren't skating)!

Polar ice house was fun! Wish there were more open skate times, or that the open time varied through the week.

However, the waiver is only good for 24 hours, so you will more than likely need to complete one each time you go. I would suggest getting here at the start of the skating window since at the end of the skating time, everyone must exit the rink so you maximize your money and experience by getting there early. The rink is a nice size. The skates we rented were in pretty good condition expect for your youngest who's strings were a little hard to lace up with the end of the string being unraveled. They had a snack bar with food and drinks and also had a small arcade area. There were lockers to put your stuff in. They were not busy when we attended so I didn't get a locker. They have free wrist guards and "skate supports" for kids who need help to stay balanced while skating. They did play a game while we skated which my kids enjoyed. All of the staff was friendly. We will definitely be returning.

I grew up skating at wheels, I'm from Durham. I am never rude in a service industry business as a professional curtesy no matter what the circumstances. I understand what it means to deal with you the public. I arrived at around 10:15pm on Boxing Day after family obligations were done. I paid to enter, was wanded by security and let in. Then, someone noticed that I had an un-opened can of non-alcoholic soda in the pocket of my parka, which I'd had from earlier in the day, it was a large coat with large pockets and I had simply forgotten it was there. I was immediately and rudely told to leave, and followed by security as I gathered my things and returned my skates as though I was a shoplifter or something, which I was confused by. I had just strapped on my skates and so asked to speak to a manager to better understand why I was being treated like this. The gentleman working security immediately emptied his pockets on a table and got in my face telling me that he was going to physically "put you outside if you don't go now! You have two choices!". Obviously I left. Good lord. Do better Durham. I will never come back.

Skateland USA North Review…read more Skateland USA North was such a fun time--nothing but great vibes all night! The energy was high, the crowd was into it, and the overall atmosphere made for an unforgettable experience. The rink itself was smooth, and the lighting added to the excitement of the night. My only critique for Sunday evenings would be to let the songs play out fully instead of using mixes. It would really enhance the experience to vibe to the full track rather than jumping between different beats. Other than that, everything was on point. Definitely looking forward to coming back!

They have made some fantastic improvements. I remember we skated at our own risk of falling. They have skating aids to assist new skaters now. The gaming area is the corner. The food court has your typical skate rink food. I dove into the nachos and topped it off with some pink lemonade. They have hot dogs, chips, pickles, candy...just put it this way...they have choices! The tunes blasting from speakers will keep your groove going throughout day and night. They play a great variety of steady beats. There were a few pro skaters mingled in the crowd. Watching the pro skaters is so cool and fun. They have an area dedicated for parties or large groups. They have a few arcade games in one corner. If the kids want the little toys from the toy section, they'll love it.

We came for the 1-3 Saturday shifts....it was fairly packed but nothing that was unreasonable. Prices were pretty good. 4 adults and 1 child. My god daughter got in as a child....though, after every lap she wanted to "take a break" so Im not even sure if we got our monies worth on her! The child (5 and under) is $5 and the adults (5 and up) are $9. Music was playing in the background....though, some of it may not have been completely appropriate for kids. Current pop and rock music is great but some of the rap songs probably werent age appropriate. I know cause I heard my husband singing the songs and he doesnt exactly censor his words :) We alternated between skating and chilling in the food/drink area. The biggest plus was that they had these metal rollars that younger kids could use to help them learn to skate. I have no idea how we would have taught my god daughter without these! My biggest complaint was the lack of staff. They had one (maybe two cause this one guy who told us he wasnt working started working) guy maining the ticket counter, skate exchange, and food place. Superman, if you ask me! Anyways, neat place to go for a date or an outing with the kids.

Planning couldn't have been easier- our coordinator was very easy to reach and always quick with an answer with any questions we had. The venue is charming and the roof top view is stunning. We chose to have a "Before They Say I Do BBQ" and the deck provided a nice space to set up stations for our caterer. The list of vendors provided by Empire Eats made providing linens and any items needed easy to set up. The only suggestions we would offer is know in advance that this is the top floor of The Stockroom. If there are 2 events scheduled, you'll be sharing the only elevator with the other venue. Loading and unloading prior and after the event can be a bit tricky. There is no designated area loading zone. Be sure to ask in advance for a cart and it will be provided. Also, if you're having a summer event, know that it can be very hot. When the door to the deck is open, it compromises the A/C and it can be a tad bit warm.
