I was referred to Dr. Poland after I injured my shoulder during a workout. Dr. Poland is the best chiropractor in Davis! I have seen 2-3 others around town, and thus far, have seen some great results from the wonderful work he he performed on me. My lower back had become a serious issue for me recently, and put a stop to my normal, everyday life activities (sitting for periods of time,jogging,weights,sports). After a costly MRI, I was diagnosed with bulges in my L4 and L5 discs in my spine. Thankfully, it was not serious enough for surgery, and I completed (and paid lots of $$ for) a few months of Physical Therapy. My lower back was still tight, and the Therapist recommended some pain killing injections, something that I have heard mixed results about. Determined to find a solution, I sought out some chiropractic work. After not finding success from a few sessions with other chiropractors in town, a friend recommended Poland Chiropractic. The first session I had with Dr. Poland, we discussed my life before and during my injury, as well as goals that I was hoping to achieve in the near future. Being an athlete, I knew I wanted to get back to where I once was, and be able to live life without worrying about my back constantly. Five stars for excellency! I strongly recommend Dr. Poland for many reasons, but the top one is that his work is EFFECTIVE. My neck had been killing me for over a month and a half, in addition to headaches that I was having; I had seen a general practitioner and also a homeopathic doctor, who both were not able to resolve the problem. They instructed me to do neck stretches, but that was without prevail. Dr. Poland took time to examine me and explain why I was having pain. He then did an adjustment that helped release some serious stiffness and tension I had and then did some more adjusting and massaging. I am astonished out how immediate the results were. Dr. Tyler Poland is very good at what he does. He's new in town and definitely knows his stuff. He's a very kind person and well-educated in his field. I've had neck and back problems for a long two years now and I'm always feeling sore in those areas. At the age of 22, I am already feeling pain because of the strenuous activities I go through within a week. I regularly work out and play sports so I'm usually always sore. Went to visit Dr. Poland and he took one good look at me and identified all my problems. With his educated background and knowledge of the human body, he went to town on my aching back and neck. The adjustments that he performed on me were like being able to crack your knuckles but for your entire body. He really helped me understand what was going on with my body and why I was in the condition I was in. I walked out of the office feeling loose and a lot more relaxed than when I had just walked in. Dr. Poland is amazing! I've been a chiropractor skeptic most of my life. Finally tried it last month, age 47, because of a problem with my IT band. If you've had IT band issues you don't need me to say more. If you haven't, I hope you never do! It's awful. I couldn't ride more than 30 miles at a time (road bike). Long rides keep me sane and I was feeling anxiety on top of the physical pain. I tried physical therapy and all the other stuff (foam roller, ibuprofen, stretches, ice, heat, etc, etc). I first contacted Dr. Michelle Chu in Davis. She's so good you can't get in to see her! But she recommended Dr. Poland which was really nice of her. I've seen Dr. P 4 times now. It's scary how well he can find the source(s) of pain in your body. My IT band was a little better after the very first visit and now I'm getting ready for a 70 mile ride. It kept getting better and better after every visit! His work can hurt. He goes right for the spots that need work. But if you want to feel better, it's worth it. He also helped my neck. I've had neck pain for years after some car accidents a long time ago. He found those issues and worked on them as well. I intend to keep seeing him and I can't recommend him highly enough. He's easy to book with, always on time, I like his reminder system, and his prices are great. He knows every muscle and tendon and join in the human body, and how they all work together (or against each other, in the case of injuries).
