Build Your Own MaLa Rice Bowl - Hot Bowl

I really like their pokebowls and I always get it (5 stars) for Pokebowl station on the island. But the other stuff on the menu such as the mala rice bowl, i'd probably not get it ever again. The portion is literally so off it's so funny. Theres like 1 layer of toppings like about 3 cm and then you get a huge bucket of rice at the bottom that feeds like 2 families LOL. It felt like I'm eating a KFC bucket of rice. The taste is good but is it really worth the price of rice and some meat though? The picture of the rice is literally after finishing the toppings and my own portion of rice. Look at how much rice there's left. It's literally about 6 bowls of rice there.

Lines during lunch time is incredibly long. Suggest to order ahead of time. Allow at least 20 minutes. Ordered a large create your own combo with Miso soup for pickup on their website. It was decent quality and service. It barely satisfies my craving of spicy tuna. The spicy tuna has a bitter after taste. The toppings and sauce I picked were missing. Especially the sauce, which I paid additional for. The miso soup was so bland, it was essentially tofu soup. It had no miso flavor. The tofu in the soup were big chunks.

We originally planned to go to another restaurant nearby, but they were not open, so we had to look for an alternative spot for lunch. While the exterior of the store is not much appealing, the inside is clean and very spacious. The poke bowl was delicious! They offer many protein options that many poke stores do not offer (yellowtail, scallop, etc). They were also very generous with the add-ons. Overall it has been a very pleasing experience. Will definitely visit again!! (and hopefully the quality will consistently be top notch)

This is a great new poke spot on this side of Staten Island! Portions are big, prices are fair, and *most importantly* fish is fresh! The only improvement I would make is adding zucchini noodles as a base option for the poke bowls. A lot of other poke spots (including one on the island) have this as an option for people who don't want rice. It's better than salad mix because it won't get soggy and provides a healthy/satisfying crunch.

Came here on a Sunday afternoon and it was pretty empty, I'm guessing since it's still new. But that's great if you want to dine in and not sit close to others with COVID still around! You do need to show proof of vaccination to eat inside. Ordering was easy, you just need to grab a slip and check off if you want one of their signature items or build your own. You can add on a drink for $3 as well. My bf got the peach tea and it taste like artificial peach candy. I got a bubble milk green tea and i enjoyed it but the bubbles were on the softer side. I would come back and give their other drinks a try. They also have noodles here!

Pretty good portion and fresh. Staffs are very nice. There is a parking lot at the back in case you want to dine in

We came around 12pm on a a Friday and it was pretty nice since we were the only ones there and there's a good amount of tables to sit at for dining in. It's a nice place to get some work done since they have outlets available to use and they have the free phone charging station. They have different signature poke bowls and they also have an option to make your own by checking off boxes on the sheet of paper they provide. I was quite surprised as to how a meal for 1 person was around $16. It's slightly on the pricier side but understandable since you have the option to choose raw fish. I decided to get the eel with a bunch of different toppings and a regular bubble milk tea that costed $3 since it was part of their combo. Everything was perfect and the service was fast. The only thing was when it hit 1pm, crowds of people started coming in and it got extremely loud.

Been in this place twice, had a medium bowl (the one with two protein choices) and it was just a perfect size. Tasted extremely great and fresh! The terrace is cute, inside space as well very comfy. The prices are reasonably cheep especially for quality that you get! The server was friendly and nice. Rice had the right consistency - sticky but not mushy. The spicy tuna and salmon were sumptuous. They have an assortment of crunchy add-ons that balance out the softness of the other ingredients. The ordering process was swift, and the employees were respectful. They allow dine-in, which several fast food or fast casual chains do not. I'm usually careful about ordering raw fish from poke places, because certain stores do not serve fresh fish. However, the salmon I got from here were fresh and the rice was soft, just the way it should be. The serving was a little less than I expected but it was so delicious that I didn't even mind. Definitely would recommend this poke place for some sushi in a bowl. My recommendation is the rice bowl with sushi rice, spicy tuna or shrimp, seaweed salad, kani salad, sweet corn, cherry tomato, roasted seaweed, sesame seeds, sunflower seeds, fish flakes, and the spicy mayo, if you can't eat spicy just pick poke special sauce Love the place, will definitely come back.

First time trying a poke bowl. Loved the options. The sauces are so delectable. The cucumbers and tomatoes. So fresh. They are filing and worth it.

I love this chain! I always go to the one in Brooklyn at 7ave, but did not know there is one in New Dorp, Staten Island! I always customize my own bowl because I'm picky about what I put in my poke bowl. The portion is very generous and can feed up to two people (I ate all). I wouldn't be mad if they give less of the proteins because the toppings are worth it. Also, they have a $3 add on drink combo deal when you order poke!

Great addition to the island! The place looks modern and I can't wait to try more of their menu. Got a poke bowl with spicy salmon and yellowtail. Felt that the salmon was not the freshest, some pieces smelled a little sour but it tasted fine. Went around 5pm so maybe the spicy salmon was leftover but yellowtail was good. With the 20% off it came out to $10.61 for 2 proteins, very reasonable price. Hoping to try their shaved ice and egg waffles too!

Price and portions for the poke bowl is amazing but the drink doesn't taste good. My total came out to be $14.10

Order here every single time when I come home from work. The food's great here but the attitude of those two girl who work in front was rude by rude I mean very rude. Giving me those Asian faces. They said my food was ready but tell me to wait another 10 more minutes and they forgot to put utensils as I'm ordering To go. You girl want me to eat using my hands?

Custom bowl: 2 proteins and a lot of toppings! Love the poke special sauce
