My sister is a Parkinson's patient. We were assured that they could meet her needs. She was in a Broda chair. I can't begin to tell you how many times she fell out of the chair or fell on the floor from her bed. She was often on the floor for up to two hours. I left a white board in her room reminding staff that she had to have her chair tilted back to prevent falls. Her room was disgusting. I asked several times for the carpet to be cleaned.....to no avail. She constant ly had UTIs. The last straw was when I got a call at 11 pm. She had fallen once again. When I got there she was on the floor complaining that her hip hurt. There were 2 young girls in the room with her waiting for the hospice nurse to arrive. They had no idea what to do because they were not nurses or aides. They said that they found her on the floor. There was not a nurse on duty who could help. The only person that I saw was a charge nurse and I don't believe that she was even a nurse. (Aren't they supposed to be nurses?) I believe that she was Just a worker on duty to handle the meds. It was after 11:00 and my sister was in the clothes that she wore all day. They did not even get her ready for bed. Obviously no one had entered her room all evening. The excuse was that she liked to eat her ice cream late at night. So they were waiting. Is that not unbelievable? Im guessing that she was trying to get to her bed when she fell. She had to have been on the floor for several hours. We complained so many times and absolutely nothing got better. I'm not sure how many times she fell but I'm positive that we weren't aware of all of them. I could go on and on about the lack of care at New Haven. The food was horrible. They said they were working on that. When we moved my sister and the last items were being taken from her room, I looked back at the filthy carpet and thought..... I wouldn't let my dog stay in this room. Please know that this review is not an exaggeration. If you do decide this is the place for your loved one, visit often. Then again, I went almost every day and things still didn't get better.

The Executives, receptionist, maintenance, and all the care takers are all amazing and truly care . The tenure shows the staff is treated well which results in a happy staff making residents happy. I can call any time with questions. Activities are so great with pets and visiting musicals. My mom loves singing and even with bad dementia she remembers all the words and loves singing and others live listening. Not one day has my family worried that my mom is not getting great care! All of her friends that visit comment on what a wonderful place it is and how caring and loving the staff is. I would highly recommended it to others because t's very different from other places. If you want to send your loved ones here or you would like to work here as either a kitchen worker or aid, run and run away fast. Worked as a server for almost a year and had to leave because I didn't feel morally correct continuing to work there. It's borderline abuse for the residents, they are fed the same things every week, nothing cooked fresh all frozen and often times cooked improperly using a shortcut to make it quicker and easier for the line cook. Extremely unsanitary conditions the dishwashing machine barely gets the job done and would fail any state inspection. It's not a stretch to say that some of the deaths in this building were a direct result of the kitchen and nurses neglecting the residents dietary needs and serving food that would immediately be pitched at any restaurant. In regards to employment, you will have absolutely no job security working here. The Executive Operations officer Tammy McElhose who has authority over the entire building has successfully gotten rid of 3 dining directors, 2 human resource directors, multiple servers and multiple nurses all in one calendar year. The lack of management directly comes from her firings, making the nurses and kitchen staff job much more difficult without having a boss to lead the way. If your looking to find a new place to work, or send your loved one to a nice home to live out their golden years, RUN far away from Integracares Pines of Mt Lebanon location, your loved one will be susceptible to the neglect and horrible conditions that are found there.

To start, the community is so inviting and really does go above and beyond to make it a wonderful place for their residents. All of the staff we have met so far have been friendly and incredibly helpful. If you have any special requests they really do accommodate them. You can tell the extra time they spend each morning getting the residents ready for the day and making sure they are well fed and entertained. She has been at other facilities where you barely see management. That is not the case here. I regularly see management out interacting with the residents and their families. They are all approachable and willing to help at the drop of a hat. We honestly can't be happier with this location and plan to keep her here as long as needed. If you're looking for a caring place for your family member look no further. This is the best place there is in the area.
