What we try to achieve is creating a place where originality is maintained, respect for fresh produce and striving for authenticity. Whilst there are dozens if not hundreds of Thai restaurants in Brussels, many are often too 'westernised'.. serving unbeknownst to consumers Thai food that has very little or no resemblance at all to what you'd find in the streets of Thailand. It's our mission to change that, by bringing essentially Thailand to you on a plate. Sawadeekaap
History
Established in 2017.
"Zhe Chef"... POH aka Kherngseng Hanprachoom... (° 1968 ) After his studies as a cook, working in several high ranked restaurants and hotels in Bangkok, Thailand, he won the competition to become the Chef of the former famous restaurant "Les Perles de Pluie" in Ixelles (Brussels, Belgium). Having become a reputable Thai chef, he accepted the offer to become chef of "Sawadee" in Namur. 10 years ago, on his idea, he opened (with a business partner) "Thai Square" in Waterloo. Poh always wanted to return to Brussels as since the close-down of "Perles de Pluies" real authentic food has become very rare in the capital of Belgium. He will be, as always, the STAR of the business.... serving you refined THAI food with a modern twist.
Partnered with 2 friends, the 3 of us decided to open a real Thai food as we would normally find in the streets of Thailand. Authentic, fresh, unpretentious yet lovingly made.
