It has really good off street parking and it's barely five minutes out of the city centre, so it is a very good spot to do some shoe shopping women! Okay, tell your best friend and your poorest friend but only them; it would be horrible to think they are suffering from scrunched up feet or wet feet from holey shoes. But if you go telling everyone they may sell out! Actually there's a lot of stock, and it is a good variety - the only thing that says this is a shoe warehouse direct to public style of store is the blandness of the interior, but really, who needs plush carpets and snazzy lighting to wiggle their toes? Actually if you tell more than your poorest and best friend, you may bring in some more customers and then between you if you all go together you could end up buying three purchases. If you buy three things and each are worth $50.00 or more you are entitled to a "Loyalty Discount Qualification" (!) which is a 10% discount off of all purchases for twelve months... Not bad eh! Maybe you should tell everyone. Who doesn't love a discount voucher - in a shoe shop even?!

If you weren't looking for it, you would probably not notice it was there. There is literally no indication that there is a shoe shop on that street unless you happen to catch a glimpse of the big red sign (and read what it says) as you drive past. If you do happen to notice the sign, when you turn in all you will see is a parking area with a door towards the end on the right hand sign. Very unassuming, but for the female shoe shopper looking for a bargain, definitely a treat. As a factory outlet store, the shoes they sell there are cheaper than what you'd normally find in Myer or David Jones. Also, they don't sell cheap shoes either and are they actually stock good quality shoes with actual brand names like diane ferari (I can't believe I know this stuff). From boots, to casual shoes to heels, it's a plain looking shop on the inside, but what it makes up for in lack of flash is in its wide selection of shoes for the shoe hungry female shopper.

There are also quite a few shops, including homewares, discount wares, women's clothing and shoes, a spectacles store, a newsagent. It's neither small nor large - just the right size to cover all your needs. It's reasonably easy to get in and out of, just remember that if you're coming up Grange Road from the city, you have to turn right and the lights and then enter the carpark from Findon Road. Otherwise you have a lot of traffic and a rather difficult "No U-Turn" sign to contend with.

The staff is helpful and will assault you the moment you pass through the door, but leave you alone the instant you mutter the token phrase, 'I'm just browsing', and return as soon as you appear to require the afore-offered aid. "The Showroom" store is where you will find more fashionable designer styles, while "The Boutique" store is where they specialise in comfort and work shoes with brands like Birkenstock. Here, they also do more specials, and stock more leisure and casual shoes, plus outdoor hiking shoes and boots. I bought my work shoes here a year ago. They have lasted me all this time while maintaining comfort and minimizing tired feet after an 8 hour shift at the cafe where I work. With their wide range and friendly, knowledgeable service, Lana Lang is a trustworthy place to shop. Oh, and they also do repairs and alterations for affordable prices.

The prices here also reflect the shoppers. The sales table has nothing under $70, and a standard price would be between $160 and $200. Cheap, cheap, cheap shoes! They're comfortable. They last longer than you'd expect. This store has a huge variety to choose from, seriously, sometimes the racks are overflowing. At the end of the day it all depends on what you like. I'm happy with a comfortable pair of wedges that aren't too fancy, but don't look daggy at the same time, and on more than one occasion Rubi Shoes has been the answer.

The store is fairly large with plenty of room to walk around comfortably and try on shoes. I've noticed that while they keep up with the latest trends and get the stores in at the same rate as every other Betts store, they also keep the older stock around longer. I like that. Sometimes I'll find shoes that I like and a week later I'll go back and they no longer sell them. What's the deal with that? At least this way I know they'll have the older stock available.
