It's the middle of the night and I'm leaving the emergency vet with a newborn because when I picked up my dog she was totally drugged without our consent. I have had this dog for 6 years and she has never acted this lethargic and out of it, even after accidentally eating some chocolate. She couldn't open her eyes, wouldn't let me touch her, her nose was bloody. When I called them - obviously nothing happened. I will never take her back there.... They would not let us pick her up from grooming until very late, probably because they wanted to let the drugs wear off.

    Poor beard. Smh

Had my dog groomered here today. What a terrible experience! Appointment was scheduled for 9:30am. Dog was dropped off at 9:20am. Stopped in at 2:30pm and haircut was not even STARTED! First photo is of before. Beard butchered, shirt gone!! Wavy lines everywhere and they missed the dew claws. Also was very obvious that my dog was not given water the seven plus hours he was there. I wouldn't send my enemies to this place with there dogs. Smh. Worst part the groomer himself blamed the dog

Been going there for years with other dogs. Friendly staff. Close to home. They did a great job on my Yorkie.

This is what Buddy's eyes look like

It's absolutely terrible. I have been taking my dogs there for years. I took my 2 miniature schnauzer in for grooming Saturday. When we picked them up , buddy was not himself. We noticed both of his eyes were bulging and blood red. (Obvious trauma). The girl that groomed him wouldn't say much other than he was very fussy. He's been groomed his whole life (10 years). I have never received complaints about his behavior, and I always ask how it went. One of the other groomers mentioned he heard buddy yelping and crying. If he was being difficult, why not just stop, give him a break, or call me to pick him up. They assured me that the manager (Dayna) would call me to follow up the next day. That never happened. We took the dog to the vet, and his injuries were due to trauma, probably from choking. He was mishandled. Either the groomer was too rough with him, or she left him unattended, and he was tethered to the table, slipped off, and was "hanging." please, please don't take your pets there. He could have died. The place was filthy. It's just horrible. It's not the same since Karen and Jackie left.

You can see how red and sore he is after they shaved him.

The Barking Lot Dog Groomer I took my 2 year old Havanese to be groomed for the first time. Yes, Remey has long silky hair and it is a lot to maintain. I put in the work to keep him fairly matte free. His tummy was a bit matted because he is really sensitive there and I struggle with causing him pain. So I expected they would shave his tummy. I do brush him every single day. When I first got to the barking lot I was apprehensive. I told them I did not want him to be to short as he is a long hair dog and I love his long silky hair. I just wanted it to be a bit shorter so he would be more comfortable and it would be easier for me to maintain. My visit started with them telling me that if I don't get down to the skin I'm not really brushing him. I explained that I do dedicate the time every evening to brush out any mattes that may have formed throughout the day. And that yes I do use a metal comb among various other tools to actually get the Mattes out of his hair. Finally, after the lecture they pet my dog and shocked say "oh he's not to bad" like I was exaggerating my dedication to my dog. We discussed how I just wanted to take his length down by half and clean up his tummy, face and around his buttocks. I told them all of his sensitive spots. I said, ehh never-mind I will just take him home. They convinced me to stay promising me he would be in good hands. When I got there to pick him up I was initially happy to see him as I had been so worried & he looked so different I was shocked. His face was all cleaned up I could see his big eyes. I left a generous tip bringing my total to almost $80. When I got him home he starts licking his paw so I knew he was hurt. I inspect his paw to find that his dew claw is bleeding pretty bad. I would expect a groomer to let me know if they made my dog bleed so it can be properly cared for. Thankfully, my neighbor had stuff I could dip it in to make the bleeding stop, (no picture of this as I was more concerned with stopping the bleeding than taking a picture). I start looking at him much closer now that I'm not in shock and don't have four woman staring at me. They did not do as we discussed he is practically shaven his long silky hair is now about an inch long & cut all choppy, the hair on his legs is left longer at about 2 inches in some spots shorter in others. And as I expected his tummy was shaved this part is not a big deal except down around where his testicle once was he has razor burn & is all red & sore. I am disappointed that they did not do what we discussed & they stated they would, just to get me to leave my dog. But mostly, I am so disappointed that they hurt my dog twice and said nothing to me about it when I picked him up. These dog groomers are either not trained, or in such a rush that they forget to take care in what they are doing. They are over charging, & over stating their abilities. I will never take my dog there again & recommend you don't take yours either.

The prices were great and she does things by the book. I left special treats, food, toys and bedding with them. They were able to stay together throughout their stay which was why I picked this location. When I picked up my dogs after vacation my older dog was super dramatic and screamed at me and the whole way home. I was very worried about his reaction at first but my other dog was completely fine. (Cannoli is also a drama queen so if something was wrong she would have been upset too) Both babies are rescues and were kenneled together while I was on vacation here. Rudy was rescued from a shelter and cannolis mom was a rescue from birth so she never saw the inside of a kennel. Rudy was already 6 years old when he joined our family and he lived in a shelter twice in his life before I adopt him (abandoned by two families...) When I dropped him off he was fine and went right to the back wagging his tail I also called before and after the cruise left Miami to check on them and they told me he was barking a lot after the first night and very mopey. He was not eating and a young girl spent some time with him and he started eating again. I should have considered his history beforehand and they did a great job keeping him calm it's honestly my fault he did not adjust as well but they accommodated which gave me a piece of mind to know they were being well taken care of. Cannoli was so happy to see me she immediately got the zoomies so we went for a walk. Rudy was very upset and let me have it. He was barking like he was yelling at me. Both of them were groomed, they looked and smelled great. Rudy on the other hand must have thought he was abandoned again at a kennel and did not adjust very well. (His bed needed to be thrown away because he destroyed it out of frustration) The way he barked on the way home I could feel his pain ughhhh Once he was home he gave me some side stink eye but after some cuddles he warmed up and all was good. (He was traumatized by being an old rescue already and I should have seen it coming) I never kenneled him again after that but thanks to her policy he was able to be with his best friend while staying there which helped tremendously! I Will be using them again this year for cannoli and my kitten for 10 days this December. I will be posting an updated review with kittens experience ‍ I highly recommend this place if you need someone to watch your pets. This place has the best prices in the area, your babies will be safe, loved, cared for, and most importantly they will be together! RIP Rudy my angel got his wings at 15 years old. The day I came back, I was excited to see my babies. My husband received a call from Linda Carrier who said, "I lost your cat, Soleil! Can you come find her? She got out of the building and is on the roof". My heart dropped. I dropped everything I was doing and rushed there with my husband. Our cat was GONE. Linda was not even in the facility 5 minutes before we got there. She was at staples, she said. No employees were looking. We were 45 minutes away. When we finally came face to face with Linda, I asked, What is your policy? What do we do? Who can we call to help? Where is your team? She said she has nothing in place for this situation because she never had to deal with it. She simply said, 'I can't even walk! You should just be patient and come back in about 6 days and call for her...' There are no cameras in the facility according to her. She said she never had a cat that was so smart.... Well, if you leave a door to the outside open and are trying to transfer a terrified cat from a cage to a carrier, I would bolt too! I asked her to get a professional to help. She said NO. I asked if I could look inside the facility in case she was hiding somewhere. She said NO. This woman was Cold and couldn't care less. At first, she seemed emotionally affected but that quickly turned into anger and non action. I posted on social media asking for help. I made fliers. I went door to door and begged neighbors to help. The best news is after 2 weeks, I got her back! That is a blessing. This woman Linda, never apologized, never took accountability for her negligence or our suffering. We suffered every second Soleil was gone. Soleil suffered out in the wilderness for 2 weeks. She also had to suffer an emergency vet visit which we paid for. Our hearts hurt because when you board your family member, you expect to get them back. And, if something terrible happens, you would expect some help or accountability. I am writing this because I would never want another human or animal to suffer the same fate or worse. So, if you must board your loved one, at least you can be empowered with this information. I will NEVER make this mistake again.

This was our first time ever leaving our 4 dogs so to say I was nervous was an understatement. The Pocono Pet Nanny's Bed and Biscuit is probably one of the nicest and cleanest places I have ever seen. There are several themed rooms along with beds, TVs and music playing. There is a fenced in area that the dogs can go out to run and do their "business" which worked out well for my dogs since they are used to a fenced backyard. The check in process was great. Jan is very organized and takes lots of notes on each dog. She allowed me to bring in our dogs' bedding, crates and bowls which was fantastic because our dogs were so used to their own things. I will admit I was crying when I left the dogs  but knew I made the BEST decision leaving them with her. Throughout my trip I received texts and pictures updating me on each of my dogs. Never once did I question if my dogs were okay: I knew they were in the best of hands!  Thanks to Jan and her staff, my family and I were able to enjoy our first trip ever. I had such peace of mind! Prior to booking our dogs' stay, Jan was great at communicating with us and never hesitated to answer my (many, many) questions. I was a bit nervous because our one dog is very food aggressive. Jan had no problem taking him in and even fed him in a separate area. She and her staff are "pet people" and truly have love and compassion for animals. Our family never traveled because we did not want to leave our dogs, but I have a feeling our visit with the Pocono Pet Nanny might change things for us. We highly recommend Jan (Pocono Pet Nanny) and will use her again in the future. Thank you Jan and your amazing staff for a job well done!! We can't thank you enough!! Thank you!
