This was our second visit to this RV park. Camping spots have full hookups, concrete pads & ours was water front. Staff was friendly and helpful. It was a Halloween weekend so numerous activities were planned. Most activities are for young children. They do have live music most weekends for adults. Families enjoying bicycling and riding gold carts around the park. Several stocked ponds for fishing. A nice safe environment for kids and families to enjoy Halloween. However people need to know all the activities cost money and some are pricey so do your research before going. read more

So far so good. Nice, level, concrete pads surrounded by grass. Great price per night. All spots are waterfront. Fish, kayak, or just relax. I'm happy we found this place. Empty on a Thursday. I first saw this RV Park on You Tube a few weeks ago. I was hesitant bc I personally like to go to a KOA, because of consistency and ease of reservations. But we decided to book two nights here and we were excited to be directly on the lake. To our dismay, the place was packed to the gills when we arrived. The pool is really small for the amount of people in this place. The kids splash pad and playground seemed undersized too. The facilities, which we never used were quite a distance away. There are several lakes, all stocked with bass and other fish. You can catch and release and don't need a license to fish. Almost every spot was taken and there were lots of golf carts and trucks riding around. We got a fire pit with our spot but no picnic table. A plus factor is the cement spaces that you park on. It is also relatively close to the highway. There is entertainment on Saturday night but everything quieted down by 10 PM. There is also a smoke house and restaurant that they own, very close to the campground. When we got up today, the place almost completely emptied out! It is lovely to light a fire and sit by the lake! We would definitely stay here again, but probably during the week. read more

Worst experience! Had to leave early due to raw sewage around dump at site 3. Owner would not give refund on days not stayed. Owner would no let us move to one of the many vacant sites. Owners rude to the point of threatening. I'm an 80 yr old frail woman. My husband is 100% disabled Vietnam Veteran. I actually felt the owner was going to hurt me he was so intense. We had the terrible misfortune of having a major RV break down about nine hours from this park. We called yesterday to cancel last night, but told them to hold on to today, in hopes that we could get there. No mention was made that if we wanted to cancel tonight that we would lose that night's fee. Given our horrible experience with the break down and calling as soon as we knew we wouldn't make it, we are very disappointed. Again, we should have been told this yesterday and we likely would have gone ahead and canceled. read more

We came two weeks ago and only charged 10 dollars per person now they charge 20 per person and it cost 64 for only 3 people

We were trying to find an RV Park close to Lafayette that would meet our needs when we visit the area. We love parks with water views. Poche's RV Park did not disappoint! Almost every single spot is literally right on the water. It's a very clean park with quite a few amenities. There is fishing included if you want to fish. For those with children there is a nice playground right next to a splash pad. Both are right next to the pool. They provide a laundry facility as well. There is also a screened pavilion if you need. The only thing I'd change is the entrance road needs repair, otherwise it is a very well kept park that I highly recommend. The park is quiet and has easy access from the interstate and 190. Staff were helpful and friendly. The prices are very reasonable with the amenities. We will definitely be back! read more

What a great RV park. I think it's one of the best we've ever camped at. The sites are all level. The park it's so clean. The people are extremely welcoming. Especially a fella named, JD. What a super nice man. There's like 5 fishing lakes. Easy to get to all of them. But no matter where you park you're right on a lake. Step outside 5 feet and fish right there. Pool looks nice, showers are clean. Laundry is cheap. There's absolutely nothing bad to say about this RV Park. Well worth driving 6 miles off the 10 to get here. We came for one night and stayed 2. Would have stayed longer but we needed supplies so we had to leave. That was my only disappointment. I wanted to stay longer. read more

Heading west and decided to try out this campground. Boy, are we glad we did. Virdy (sp) checked us in and was a joy. Very helpful and accommodating. We went and found our spot and got set up. Next on the agenda; throwing our lines out into the private ponds on the property. No luck, we didn't really have the right gear, but we had fun. Bait is available in the office. Since we were only here two days decided not to purchase. Gravel roads throughout the park, not too rough. All sites have cement pads, full hook ups. Decent amount of space between rigs. Most sites are on the ponds. Grounds were immaculate. Bathrooms, laundry and pool very clean. Free wifi. They have a clubhouse and a screened pavillion. Small play set for the kiddos. They also have a few cabins for rent. Good satellite and verizon service. Would definitely recommend this property. We were here in a 40' motorhome with a toad. read more

What a great camp! My husband and I pulled in and checked into the cute office! So much to do here in the park! Great dog park area, kids jungle gym and swings, clean pool, fish cleaning spots, beautiful views overlooking the three large (well stocked) ponds, fun paddle board and boat rentals, and great hospitality from the staff. This makes year 3 of being Snowbirds. And this makes year 2 of staying at Poché's! Why? It isn't like there are not a lot of other choices. It's just the best around! Office staff are the best. Grounds staff are super. And some of the friendliest campers anywhere! We have made friends that keep in touch Year round. At the moment they are having issues with the road inside campgrounds. But that is being took care of. After all the speed limit is 10 mph. Highly recommend staying here as often as you can. read more

Absolutely beautiful campground. Each sites is full hook-up. I believe there are only 2 pull- throughs. Every site has view of one of the three fully stocked lakes. Fishing is included, with no license required. It is a bit windy, so keep your awnings closed. Accept Passport America read more

We have stayed at Poche's many times in the past few years. If you like a peaceful setting, this is the place to go. The sunsets are the best reflecting off the ponds. They have local bands on Saturday's evenings during the summer. Family friendly, dancing ,byob and great view from the clubhouse. Bring or rent a Kayak and do some fishing. The pool is a lil small but they also have a splash pad. Price is reasonable. Space is on a few sights are tight like #34. Overall this is a wonderful RV park. read more

This is the second time we've stayed here. We loved the facilities, laundry room etc. however, we were unlucky enough to be here on the weekend this time, meaning party time. Campers right next to us entertained a dozen or more people at their site all weekend. Not only did they party loud and long, but had several dogs among them all of which were unleashed and roaming over to our site. They also decided to set up their grill within a foot of the side of our camper, yelling out loudly to their friends. We are glad we are leaving in the morning and wish we had left yesterday. read more

A great weekend ruined in minutes. Management ordered our neighbors who complained of an "out of control" fire to put our fire...with water. We could have raved to our friends and returned many times to these grounds! The opinions of a guest who was leaving was more important than allowing customers to enjoy the evening. read more

This is a beautiful campground! However, my post is for PA members. We came in on a Wednesday night (PA rate not available Thurs-Sun.) They assigned us the WORST site they have. The only one without unobstructed view of the ponds, the only one without a picnic table. It is on the curve and ALL vehicles run alongside our RV (not behind it at the end of all the other sites.) I could understand if they were full...but there is an entire row of primo sites running all along the straight-away just past us. Beautiful sunset...too bad I had to walk three sites away to take the picture. VERY DISAPPOINTED! Do NOT accept sites 25 (ours) 24-26. read more

Poche's is one of our favorite campgrounds. The staff is very friendly, the sites are concrete and level with full hookups and you are surrounded by stocked ponds for fishing. You can buy worms in the office if you want to fish. There is a very nice pavilion you can rent, cabins for rent and also a nice washateria. All sites are by the ponds. There are two pull-throughs. Each site should have a picnic table and fire pit..if for some reason there is not one, just call the office. They are very accommodating. The food in the area is amazing.....Treat yourself to a little bit of heaven in South Louisiana.. read more
