The business owner wanted to charge us to repair these areas, saying it wasn't due to his work, but rather due to older peeling paint. Though his contract language protects him in saying this, I believe surface prep might also be a factor in these flaws. I was disappointed that, after investing a lot of money with him to do the job, he was unwilling to make it right. I perceive that he was more focused on arguing than on customer service. I wouldn't recommend his services.

I wanted to give Benjamin Moore paint a try, and they were the closest store that sold it. I ended up needing to bring my 1 1/2-year-old son along, which is NOT ideal, as a paint store really isn't a great place for a baby (even one closely watched by mom). But everyone there was SO friendly and helpful, both to me and my son! First, after looking at a swatch for the color I -thought- I wanted, I realized it was more orange-toned than I liked. One of the ladies at the store immediately asked if I needed help, and when i described what I wanted, she pulled out numerous swatches and told me which ones in the color range I wanted were the most popular. After I settled on a color, they immediately mixed it up. The guy at the mixing counter was great, showing my little boy how they tinted the paint and put it in the mixer, then showing him the finished color. Afterward, they put my paint cans in a box so they wouldn't roll around in my car, and one of the employees carried them out for me! I won't say this is the cheapest paint I've ever bought -- not by a long shot -- but the experience was definitely much more pleasant than at any mega-home-improvement store I've bought paint at! We'll certainly be back.

They did not introduce themselves upon arrival or ask ANY questions like "where can we put the materials/supplies? Where can we put our ugly dump trailer? Can we set up our saw in front of your garage door?" They were also very sloppy leaving materials all over the yard including large nails and razor blades without regard of dangerous conditions for children and pets. The only reason they got a 2 star instead of a 1 star is because the end result does look nice. Too bad we had to complain and be "one of those customers" to get action.
