Over the last 6 weeks, I have called and left messages, most of which were ignored. When I finally talked to the salesman after 3 1/2 weeks, he said it would be in the next week and he'd call. When I hadn't heard from him a week after that date, he said he'd check on it and get "right back" to me. Again nothing and again he didn't return my message the next day. Luckily, I hadn't paid anything and have since found a screen online. I don't know if this is now typical of YB&D customer service. They converted my fireplace from wood-burning to gas several years ago and I was beyond pleased with their service. I'm disappointed and bewildered as to why the negative service now.

She said that the painter was a little OCD with his cleanliness and perfection. He gave us a great quote and we accepted the offer. On the first day they power washed our house and covered our windows. The second day was a wash with rain, high temperatures and high humidity so no painting could be started. They were fast to come to home & complete an estimate. They were very nice & courteous. Seemed to know what they were doing. Their estimate came in way under cost of other companies estimates. I almost went with them for project - BUT something told me to research further. I found good reviews on google & seemed legit. But on their FB reviews, everyone says exceptional service & quality. I dug deeper on those reviews & found that most of those FB reviews were from people that don't live anywhere near Michigan. Some were even from out of country. (Click on the reviewers ''about" section to see where they are from.) I even found one reviewer that had snapshots (to a different company) discussing cost of payment for posting reviews. So I'm not saying they are a bad company, but don't trust and make a decision based on those FB reviews. I decided to go with a different company that was comparable to their estimate and I know the reviews/referrals are real, reliable, & trustworthy. If you are looking for a lower cost, this company may be ok to go with. I would just ask them for referrals; and make sure to call them. Just a FYI - do your research if company is not directly recommended by a person you really know well.

He does work of equal quality to anyone, with faster turn around times, frequently with better prices, and - perhaps most importantly - he simply does an amazing amount of things, minimizing the number of calls you have to make to businesses that only do one thing and nothing else. He has painted, installed two steel exterior doors, built a set of steps to a basement, swapped out outlets, patched ceilings, diagnosed heating system issues, and installed registers in heating ducts. Delta Painting is not just a painting service - with Del, you get a handyman of the old school, who can do anything as well as anybody and generally do it with less hassle. My only hesitation in recommending him is that you may get him on your schedule before I do.

I ended up using Del to refinish all my windows, do interior paint touch up, add some extensions to downspouts and other work. His work was always on time, exactly what he quoted, or time and material costs as agreed to. He was always available to call text and send pictures as I was doing this from out of state. Del would suggest cost saving options rather than suggesting you buy all new windows like most window companies will do.
