Shepherd Park/7601 Georgia Ave NW Washington DC. After nearly 20 years, I felt that both Misters Eric and Rodney treated me dismissively on 10/10/2025. I didn't think I was on an account, so understandably they would discuss NOTHING abt the acct--not even to answ a general question: Why does the annual renewal date alternate: one year it's mid-Aug; the next year it's mid-Sept; then Aug for two years, then Sept., etc. Strange I know. That is a general question, not subject to privacy, so I looked askance at Mr. Rodney who replied that a review of the payment history would be required to answer my question.
During the course of the encounter, I gave him the account#, so had he valued me as a customer, by looking at the account, he would've seen that indeed, I WAS WRONG and that I am on the account. Because I simply have paid the annual fee for the past decade, I seldom use the account, I had forgotten that I'm on the account.
Mr Rodney's and my tete-a-tete culminated with my request to speak to manager Mr. Eric. As I walked beside Mr. Rodney to Mr. Eric's adjacent office, he "shooed" me to stay back and wait. If he didn't want me to walk with him, why didn't he direct me to have a seat while he check on Mr. Eric's availability?
Mr. Eric's response stunned and thus, I'm writing this review. Standing next to Mr. Rodney, I saw Mr. Eric wave his hand dismissively and say "I don't have time." (Could it be that required protocols for closing could've pre-empted high-quality customer service? )
To reverse my unpleasant visit either of the men could've offered to: 1) take my phone number -- or 2) ask me-- to call the next business day to open an inquiry to research for an answer. Clearly, I wasn't a priority.
To consistently walk into a branch that has NO counter tellers, where 99% of business is transacted via videochat, for longtime customers, especially elderly ones, the least PNC can do is take strides to deliver stellar in-person customer care. read more
