I have been using this bank for years. I've never had any negative experiences like other reviewers…read morereport. The staff are very friendly, knowledgeable, helpful, and kind. They always work with professionalism. At times, limited numbers of tellers can cause a line to form, which can be inconvenient. However, each time this has occurred while I was there, they open another teller up to move things along faster. They try their best to accommodate the customers and remedy such things during the times I've experienced it. Overall, will continue my banking here.

I would also like to add they have several people standing around even with long lines which is super frustrating. I only went to see a teller to get large bills, they should consider adding denominations of $50 at the ATM so you don't have to deal with the long lines. Stay away from this bank, it will only make you angry.

I work in 2 clinics in the mean time and wanted to open an account At chase bank. despite telling him that I have my SSN proof of address passport copy and recent statements from my current bank I was asked this question .. Are you a US citizen ? I said no then he said I need to provide as per the policy of chase bank him with my green card . I was not asked this question at my previous bank so I went back and checked online as well as spoke to CS at chase bank and the manager and sure enough there is no such policy . Clearly my color was the reason about being asked if I was a citizen and was asked to provide a green card not sure why I was discriminated against this way with false statements of inaccurate bank policies that are deeply disturbing. My husband was never asked this question so I guess only people of certain color and race are profiled and asked for documentation that are otherwise NOT required by the bank or by NJ law. my question is does my color make me look like a dodgy character to you ?? Was I asking you for free money ??? why was I asked for a green card even with an available SSN ? How do you decide who to ask if they are citizens or not ? I love the Penny arcade machine, anytime I gather up lot of coins, I go straight here, pour my coins in and deposit or take as cash. Just FYI if you don't have an account with them, there's an 8% fee for your coins, doesn't seem like a lot but it definitely adds up. I've had several banks throughout my life, but TD bank is top notch!!

I sat and waited as there was no one else around. Several employees went back and forth (never stopping to ask if I was being helped). Eventually the person waiting before me as helped. I continued to wait for the woman at the desk to become available. Finally, someone returned to the desk that was vacant. Although she never asked me if I wa being helped or needed help, I approached her and informed her that I was waiting to open an account. Her response was, "oh, we're closed!" I told her I had been waiting for the last 25 minutes. She told me that there was a sign in sheet that "goes away at 4:30" so, I can't be seen. However; I was free to come back and just go to a teller next time. I had several problems with this encounter: 1. I was under the impression this was a small community bank and they would be more attentive. When going to a big bank, I have always had someone ask me what I need help with and where I had to go. Considering that I was the only one there, this was not a far fetched expectation. 2. The bank closes at 5:00, but no one is helped if they arrive after 4:30? If that is the case, a dig should be posted. 3. There should be signs directing consumers if signing in is expected. 4. The woman who returned to the desk made the man in front of me wait to be let out as she sat at her desk. I was very disappointed with my experience there and no longer have a desire to do business with them.

The website and online banking are super plain and basic, no mobile app - but online bank opens fine. You get access to a network of CO-OP banks and free atms especially at 711/Walgreens/CVS with 0 fees! They helped me rebuild my credit and in less then 1 year, I now qualify for line of credit (store card/financing) with the same very big bank that denied me last year after using them for 10years! liberty savings is the real deal, i visit the union city office - Maria, Karen, and Carlos are the best, sure the wait can be long but the benefits outweigh the wait. A real community bank for the people!
