I even opened a savings account there after I moved because I had years of trust... all of which was broken this weekend. I had my car robbed and my wallet containing my social security card and debit card taken to which I reported and included an email about the robbery from my HOA and the police report I had filled out. the fraud investigator called me back to tell me that she believes there was no fraud and my story "has red flags" because the charges that were made weren't typical of a thief and that I must have gotten scammed into making 7 charges in a row at a Walmart for gift card for a phone I do not have and that they would not reimburse my $800+ theft because it didn't seem like my story made sense and that my next paycheck looked good enough to get by. I was sad and shocked as I have mouths to feed and bills to pay and have been loyally banking there for nearly 20 years. Please do not use this bank and risk your and your family's livelyhood should the worst happen. The fraud department just wants to look for reasons to allow your tragedy to be overlooked. I don't want to see anyone else suffer because they thought a small bank was better. I'll be closing my accounts as will my close relatives after this nightmare. You deserve better than being accused of criminal behavior after years of loyalty.

The loan officer we met with was not able to answer any of my questions except to hand me a pamphlet. (which i could have gotten myself in the lobby) She stated she had to do a credit check. I was concerned since I was also in process of buying a new home. She never explained that it was a "soft pull" which wouldn't show up on my credit. She truly never explained anything. If you would like someone to not even read, but just point out bold printing in pamphlets then this is the place to go. Also they don't have check/deposit slips, which i am not used to. it is not a big deal. Just another instance of not being explained. We did get a savings account and went to deposit money. we had to wait on the teller to return. Apparently when no one is directly standing in the lobby, a teller isn't standing behind the counter. I do not know much more about the bank itself as my account is only a week old at this point and i have not sat down to read through all the pamphlets myself.
