Don't know what I was thinking...the only credit card I had was a BP card & they wouldn't give cash back on a purchase. Long story not so short...pulled into my bank's branch and explained the situation. The Customer Service Rep politely asked how much cash I needed (only $20) and said he could look up my acct. by other means and help me. With my ss# and signature, I got my cash and went back to pick up my dinner items. Don't know why there are so many negative comments that float around about Fifth Third. I've never received anything but outstanding, pleasant service at each branch I've visited!

The banker I constantly work with , Todd , went above and beyond to fix this for me and ensure it wouldn't happen again. The times my card had fraudulent charges I called Todd, he fixed it right away! Went out of the country, called Todd , he put alerts on my card right away. Lost a few cards to stolen wallets, Todd had a new card in my hand in less than a week. We're on a first name basis now with how often I have questions about the way an account, a card or a service works. Truly amazing tellers here , always willing to put in the work to get to your desired outcome !

It will also be a nice branch for OTR residents. The tellers I've encountered have been friendly which is a lot to say as I usually swing by near closing time. The branch is small but completely full service and while it lacks a parking lot, there is often a spot either on Main or nearby. There is an ATM outside that will gladly spit out some $20's for your Gateway Quarter craziness.

With a smile she would say disparaging things and It's closely related to these bubbly people willing to help me into a trap door. Pretty much...with no real help but a huge smile to make it go down smoothly. So before I start this review I want to make it very clear I bank here and my car loan is with them. I want to make this review very relevant and as professional as possible as I am boiling with frusteration from this bank and am pretty much stuck with them because my dealership did not have the forsite to make sure this would not be a bank in their loan catalog. Now that I have that off my chest this company is kind but they lead you in circles through stange policies and even worse misplaced loyality. There is this appearance of customer service at every turn and just as they pick up with no answers to your questions or problems they start their conversations off this way "How can I make your day a Fifth Third Better" I candidly say deep inside for me never to have made a choice to get a loan from your bank would have made it about 100% percent better. So let me tell you the issue first hand other than their plastic misplaced loyality I never and I do mean never would want my worst enemy to bank here. (on second thought) there are few people I would suggest to get a loan here. I'll keep that to myself. So when I send my load to Fifth Third Bank they had me sign paperwork. In that paperwork I signed I would be paying a little less than 300 dollars a month for my car payment and that I would of course be able to make that payment for the duration of the loan. Now comes the fun part. Yesterday I call my loan company because well its Spring and I am feeling like I want to drop my rates and refinance. I was looking to do something like this sometime in this year so I wait for to speak to someone regarding my loan where I am greeted by a automatic voice that is telling me I owe $547 this month. Now being the very studious financial person I am said. There is no way I missed a payment. I didn't I look again. I went to the website and sure enough nothing. Then I checked the amount due and sure enough my loan payment went from 270 to 547 instantly and my total loan went from 15,000 to 18,000 WHAT! I called to find out they partner with an insurance company. So they go to tell me they could not verify I had insurance which I did but they still insitited that I didn't. Well I sent off my paperwork to their department to see if the paperwork I sent will suffice their requirements. Otherwise I will be resposible (are you ready) for the downpayment for their over inflated insurance company and the monthly payment since I purchased the car. I never SIGNED anything stating that I would agree they would tag this onto my loan without my approval. They did it. I really felt that as I was looking through the reviews you might be interested in some solid information is about why this is NOT the bank you want to bank at and I highly suggest to management of car loan companies NOT to send your clients here for a car loan. This is not the place to do it. I realize that a loan company needs to protect their assets but this is not a great way to do it. I was always told the issue does not come with what you do but the manner in which you do them. This is something that is going to need to be redone completely or I can bet there will be some major legal battles ahead and ALOT of people very very upset. So as I close this I want to take this review home by saying this is the exact reason why Wells Fargo is being sued one billion dollars...I hope fifth third does not think people will take this kind of abuse of their power without taking a stand. I have never had a problem with them, I have always been treated very well and everyone always courteous. This 5/3 was no different!! I've been working in Kentucky for the week and I needed to make a deposit, and this branch gave me 4 options to do so. Walk up ATM, Drive up ATM, Drive up teller, or I could have walked in. I like having options!! I will be making this my KY go to 5/3 bank from now on!!
